They sent me the wrong hard-drive... How they managed that, I don't know. I ordered a 'Hitachi' but they sent me a 'Fujitsu'.They admitted it was their fault. I sent it back and paid the return postage myself to expedite. That was 3 weeks ago. Since then I've contacted them 5 times by phone in live conversation, and e-mail and chat messages on their web-site, asking them send me the correct one, and spelling out the name of the correct one, in case they have bad eye-sight.
Finally they said they can't send me the correct one because they didn't know if I still wanted it. So, they said all they can do now is issue me a refund. So, reluctantly I said yes, since they didn't give me a choice in the matter.
Now, it's been another week of waiting and they haven't refunded me yet. So, now I've put in a claim to Pay-pal to help me get my money back.
Also, their web-site says 'free shipping' in big letters at the top. But they charged me $9.64 plus state taxes (about 13 bucks extra).

I replaced the drive and lo and behold it showed a predictive failure as well. Of course I freaked out. I contacted Calhoun via the chat on their website. Was told someone would contact me shortly. Katelynn emailed me and told me that a replacement was going out immediately. I received the replacement in SC before lunchtime. Turns out a firmware update and a swift punt of the server saw the original drive as good and am shipping the replacement back but I applaud that level of service these days . Asked for an RMA and was told that I would have to return the wrong part I received (and I am OK with this) and that I would have to place a new order for the right part for $142.40. I just went to their website where they are offering the same part at $58.99 with free shipping. I asked that we do a straight RMA and I get the switch for the price I thought I was paying for it.
