I seen three massive wolves run past us on may 20th 2020 at roughly 6:20pm (no joke) location was 44.798611,-93.387500 1 mile under the bridge along the rivers where the trees are spaced apart nicely & easy for them to run through. Not sure what kind of wolves they were, all I know is they were wolves, & tripled, I mean tripled the size of a large dog our friends had with us, & on all fours stood level with my chest if I had to guess, but they were so quick dipping through those woods I had to do a double take & was & still am absolutely blown away that I got to see something so...

A very good resource to start your kids into trying biking off road. Nice single track trails that run along the river. There is a railroad swing bridge you can see along the trails and if you're lucky you may even be able to watch a train go across it! There are easy obstacles along the trail should test your skill level. I would recommend these trails to any family looking to get their kids into mountain biking. We found the easiest way to access the trail or at least a good starting point to be off Old Shakopee Road in...

A great place for a walk or a shred in a fat bike. Plenty of parking on both ends of this sandy trail. Ever changing from flooding, use caution on bridges and log features, as they may become unstable. Check trail status in the MORC website for the possibility of flooding in the spring or several days after a heavy rain event. Never enter this section of river except by boat, heavy currents have washed people and their bikes downstream when attempting to cross flooded areas. Otherwise, usually a safe...

Here's the deal with the River Bottoms trail from this side - when the snow conditions are good, it is simply perfect peaceful winter solitude on a fatbike. Owls, deer, the river, occasional other riders or walkers. The little bridges, the streams, all of it. It's like spiritual. Maybe even bring a flask of something in case you need a warm up. Either way, I'm officially declaring that an afternoon riding the river bottoms on a bluebird winter day fully justifies a fat bike purchase. It's shockingly good.
