We went yesterday and had a wonderful time. It was crowded but the crowds were managed very well. There is a lot of hills so if you have mobility issues you need to be aware of this. My husband and I stayed on the lower level and our daughter and grandson rode the rides at the top because we have bad knees. We still enjoyed ourselves looking in the shops, watching a couple of shows and sitting in the rocking chairs. We rode the train and I ended up with cinder in my eye. Wanda in first aid was fantastic! She washed my eye and put drops in it. She told me if it was still bothering me to come back. After an hour I still felt like something was in there so she washed it again and we finally got it out. She was so patient, friendly and helpful. The world definitely needs more Wanda's and Tweetsie is very lucky to have her. Our grandson is 6 and he had a wonderful day.. A couple of suggestions I have for them would be to move the clogging show to the theater with the can can girls and the magician with Hopper and Porter. It makes much more sense and so many people were standing to watch the cloggers. The magic show is more geared towards kids. Also I know it's hard to find help but really missed the funnel cake place being open. I'm sure you lose a lot of money having it closed. If you had people down below selling cotton candy, toys, some kind of light up you could capture a lot of money to maybe pay employees more. Also need an icee machine down low and a place to buy fudge even if it's prepackaged for people that can not climb the hill. Nothing major just a few observations. Definitely recommend going to Tweetsie. Fun...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a Christmas experience this would be a good place to start. We bought our tickets in advance online, you need to reserve your train ride ticket for a specific time. We decided on doing a 6pm ride but arriving at the park when it opens to first explore the place since it was our first time. I think the timing was perfect. The park wasn’t too busy when we got there and was able to view the stores, get hot beverages with no line, ride the “tea cup” ride and hang out by the fire. Once it was about 10-15 minutes from our train ride time we went to get in line. Since we got there early we pretty much got first pick or cart and first in line. They get very busy and long lines once it get closer to the departure. There are several spots to line up depending on what train cart you want to ride in. I would say try and get into the 2nd or 3rd cart. Sitting on the right side will be beneficial as you can see more stuff. The T.V screens on the carts are just for song a long karaoke (for Christmas music) not sure what they do for normal days that aren’t Christmas. The train is pretty slow and takes about 20 ish minutes for the ride. It was a very cold night so the wind can be pretty intense so bundle up or your face will be frozen. All the lights are great and fun to look at. They pretty much had zero vegan food. If they did it wasn’t advertised but between funnel cake, hotdogs, pretzels, nachos etc there wasn’t really anything to choose from. It’s all pretty much street cart type food. But great time overall! Would...
Read moreI always love going to Tweetsie Railroad it's more down to earth 🌎 than Dollywood or six flags .. I own season rail passes. Best decision ever. My son loves trains he gets to see Thomas. Plus ride the Tweetsie train aka wild west .. ghost train or Xmas polar express.. Tweetsie experience for 50% off with passes. But still get to enjoy any other day 😜 it has carnival rides . Train rides every 30 mins . And it's laid back .. wanna pack lunch do it ! There's space to have a picnic 🙂 I'm taking my hammock next time and hanging around on the forest line and have a picnic . It's just a great place to chill and take your train 🚂 loving kids too .. and also 🚁 helicopters and big kid rides along with a smaller train and a petting zoo !!! Pan for gems 💎 or feed the deer 🦌 I love 💕 the memories we make everytime we go .. having flash backs of my own being young myself riding these same rides .. they are short handed and it makes the experience less... Because I loved the blacksmith 🖤 when I was young getting a 🐴 🧲 horseshoe with your name on it or some jazz. And along with other attractions that aren't open due to no staff. COVID times are passing I hope. But I forsee this park to stay open for my son kids and their kids kids .. bc I know how awesome this place really is .. you won't regret it and have the best time of your life. Travel light. Mostly up hill but there is bus and a chair lift if heights aren't a thing to ya .. if you have a question just ask if I...
