This beautiful, historic home in the heart of Blue Hill, Maine is a fun summer activity. The volunteers are throughly knowledgeable and have gone to impressive lengths to protect and restore Jonathan Fisher's legacy. He was a scholar, an artist, a craftsman, a philosopher, and a gentleman. His home, which he built himself, is a quintessential part of the history of Blue Hill, as well as the settlement of the surrounding area. I really enjoyed the house...

Jonathan Fisher was a genius. The house/museum is staffed with a tour guide who explains all the memorabilia and artifacts, much of which are original. We only needed about an hour to tour the house, orchard, and small barn. The tour guide included details like showing writing on the wall from one of the Fisher’s kids- where else do you find that!
