No dogs are allowed, but the area is full of wildlife and quiet beauty. The Learning Center has a restroom and was open when we visited. We met a man named Stan who was super friendly and full of knowledge. The center is only open January through May, Tuesday to Thursday. Thereās a Butterfly Garden, a Tortoise Preserve, Kayak Lanuch and nature trails that follow along the Imperial River. We hiked about a mile and a half. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place has some good trails. Some are mostly dirt and one is crushed shells. Walking on the shells makes it hard to see wildlife, as they are scared of the noise. Lots of gopher turtles to see and butterflies. It connects to the Collum trail that goes almost to the I-75 bridge. There was a spot near a tree with Halloween decorations around it. There's no bathroom (not that we could find anyway). There's no bat house or butterfly garden to speak of. There's a lot of deadwood piled on either side of the trail. We won't go back. Koreshan State Park has a much nicer trail, which is shaded and mostly runs beside water...
