What a fantastic gem! So many trails and gorgeous ledges!! Over 320 million years old, just unbelievable. This place gets filled fast, and so worth it too. Many trails to choose from. These are marked stay on the trails, these are not wheelchair accessible. Pets are welcome but must be leashed & be responsible and pet up after your pets. Great place to bring the kiddos and let them explore (supervised). Definitely bring your trekking poles, wear proper shoes, dress accordingly the temperature is roughly 10 - 15 degrees cooler. Read moreVirginia Kendall park hiking trail that we took was cleared nicely, clearly marked, and in general well kept. We found it by accident as we were looking for another park to the west. The grounds seem well cared for. There is a lake and a lodge on the lake. We didn't venture over, but it looks like they must have some group parties and maybe rentals on the lake. The short trail was fairly easy, steps are installed on several inclines and descents to get oner a few steeper hills. There are a few historical markers along the path that are quite informative. Read moreThe hike is beautiful! High foot traffic for a pandemic and sometimes people get too close for comfort. Some people did not hike the suggested way: clockwise, but all in all, perfect place for a beautiful scenery for hiking. This trail is a little over 2 miles and can get hilly and rocky. Just know this COVID alert, if the parking lot is full you have to leave and go someplace else. You are not permitted to park elsewhere. There are restrooms available, but bring your own...
