I'm going to avoid them in the future.
They delivered my wife's flowers at 11:58PM on Valentines Day (i.e. 2 minutes before midnight)
When I called to ask them about it, the rep said they had been overwhelmed (which makes sense and is understandable, being a florist on valentines day), but also made the claim that "technically" the flowers were delivered on the day requested, so there was nothing she could do.
Oof, that second argument.
Williams is "technically" allowed to make that argument since the package was delivered with 2 whole minutes to spare. But I also think(!) that by making that argument it "technically" makes the company insanely (and almost cartoonishly) sleazy.
Edit:
Leaving this additional context, mostly in response to the company's reply asking me to "give [them] a call again".
To clarify, they're asking me to contact them again after I've already... Called and left a voicemail on the day of delivery (no response, but again that was late Valentine's day, so also understandable) Sent a message via their online contact info form on the day of delivery asking for a refund — sent at ~10PM when I believed the order was likely lost (I did receive a response back the next day, which stated "We apologize for the delay in delivery. Thank you for your understanding." with an image of the flowers on my doorstep and the delivery timestamp of 11:58PM) Called again the next day, spoke to a rep, rep and I had the exchange mentioned in the body of this review, after which she said she'd have a manager call me. (that callback never happened)
I just wanted to make it clear that I've spent a good chunk of time trying to contact them already, so the offer to make it right rings ...
Read moreUpdate: The flowers were finally delivered on Wednesday, after several phone calls (4 days late). I believe this was a delivery issue, not something that was happening at the floral shop. In the end there was effort made to make it right, and additional flowers were added to the arrangement. The end result was nice, but I just wish the order had been delivered when initially promised, as this was an arrangement that needed to be delivered on time.
I ordered flowers to be delivered last Saturday. They were delivered to the wrong address, even after I called and made sure they had the correct address. The flowers sat there all weekend without enough water, so when they were found Monday morning, they were dead. I contacted the shop and was assured they would make a new arrangement and deliver them on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday afternoon, this still has not happened. It is difficult to get in touch with anybody at the shop, as they don't answer the phone regularly. When they do answer the phone, they ask if they can take your number and call back, but the call never comes. I cannot recommend Williams Flower and Gift. Their customer service is lacking and they don't follow through on their promises. I am very disappointed that I trusted them with an important...
Read moreI live in Colorado and wish this florist was located down the street!
After reading online reviews, I called the shop on a Friday afternoon to place an order for a sympathy arrangement, and I asked that the designer create something with Spring flowers that did not look anything like a funeral arrangement. Nicole asked for my timeline, and I replied that it would be delivered to a home so anytime between Friday and Monday would work. She put me on hold while she talked to the designer, then told me it could be delivered that day. She patiently wrote the message that included the names of my eight siblings, some spouses and kids, and me and checked the spelling! In short order, Williams sent me a photo of a gorgeous arrangement (that I shared with my family) before it left the shop and asked if I had any requests. It’s been years since I’ve received comparable service!
Thank you and please let me know if you ever open a...
