I was surprised to see this spot in the middle of a business park. I've been going here after hours to practice skateboarding in the empty parking lots and decided to try it out for lunch today. I'd definitely order here again!
*Experience: 5/5 - I prescheduled my order online through Yelp. Super easy and my order was ready for pick-up when I arrived.
*Tofu banh mi: 5/5 - I ordered mine with extra cilantro and pickled vegetables. I really like that the bread isn't a full baguette with rounded ends. It's much nicer to eat this rectangular version with ends cut off. The bread was also a great texture: crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and not too thick. Veggies were fresh.
The tofu is different from any other banh mi I've had - they use the thinner type of fried/breaded tofu and it's slightly sweet. Good amount (not too much) mayo, so the bread didn't get soggy.
They also use the whole stalk of cilantro, which I prefer since the stems taste the same and are crunchy - but keep that in mind if you don’t like the stems.
*Vietnamese iced coffee: 5/5 - Was a 16 oz to-go cup. Delicious and sweet. I could have used a little more coffee and less condensed milk, but that's just my preference.

Read moreIf you're going for bahn mi, the trick is to order a side of broth, that way you can dip the sandwich in and soften the bread, which soaks up the broth almost instantly. Their bread is definitely incredible and crunchy, but it can cut the roof of the mouth if you don't get it with some pho or broth to dip it in. Pork with extra meat + a side broth is definitely incredible, for omnivores. My wife is a vegetarian and they have the tastiest vegetarian broth and ingredients in the area. We've tried pho and bahn mi from a half dozen places, and Bahn Mi Pho U is our favorite now by far.
It originally took me awhile to figure out what to do with the bread - it's super crispy and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not at all chewy. It's really great. My only suggestions would be avoid the chicken bahn mi since it's a bit bland, but both the pork and beef are delicious. But still, the best call is to get bahn mi and some of the soup, since the combination is just heaven.
I think they should include a cup of the broth with the sandwiches by default, but I think there is a combo like that on the menu too, and I'm going to stop looking this gift horse in the mouth right...
Read moreI used to work nearby in the business park and would occasionally treat myself to a delicious lunch here. Since I've left that area, I don't go as often as I crave it, but it's always perfection!
I prefer to order the tofu bahn mi, with no pate. It is plenty delicious without and I do not eat land animal meats. The veggies are always fresh, the bread is crunchy on the outside and soft inside and the tofu is thinner & sweeter tasting than others I've had elsewhere. They do not skimp on the fillings; the portions are very good size. I add a side of broth to dip my sandwich in , which is warm and flavorful in itself. I also like to grab an order of fresh spring rolls (shrimp only, no ham) for later. They come perfectly wrapped and with a side of peanut sauce & spicy chili sauce. The peanut sauce is the best I've tasted from Marysville to Seattle. I wish I could buy it by the bottle to enjoy later at home with other meals!
Plenty of parking in the area. Indoor and outdoor dining space. It is tucked away in the business buildings, not too hard to find but easy to miss. I order through Clover and my food is always ready before the...
