Green Block Skatepark — Attraction in Boulder

This park exemplifies the need for skate parks in Boulder. My son is just learning to skateboard and is taking lessons. Guess what? The class gets in a van an drives to communities outside of Boulder to go to decent skate parks. Boulder needs a great skate park on par with the great bike park at Valmont. Scott Carpenter skate park is not safe in my opinion due to the homeless issues there and has seen very little care. Boulder is a wealthy community. Pretty sweet park for all skills levels. Its honestly perfect for street skaters and/or anyone just getting started as it mainly has rails and ledges. I do agree with others about it possibly getting a proper shelter. If it were able to stay dry from the rain that would be awesome. They are always improving the park which is awesome. Great spot! There is a DIY area and a nice flow park. Sadly, the flow park is usually full of kids who's parents don't teach them to take turns... I suggest going on a weekday during the school year, or just run a kid or 2 over and all the parents get scared and make the kids leave...
