This is a lightly used, neighborhood gem, perfect for an uncomplicated and easy stretch of the legs. If you do a loop around the lake, there is some gravel and some paved pathway. It's very pretty with nice reflections of hills and sky and it is blessedly undeveloped so far. (A couple of years ago, eager beavers at City Hall threatened to add a bunch of fancy, schmancy facilities to the area but a grassroots neighborhood revolt has forestalled that effort so far. I've heard people talk about Wonderland Lake with fondness in the past, so when I was checking out all the parks I've never been to here in Boulder, this one jumped out at me. Read moreThere is really nothing bad about this park, it has a nice open area next to the lake. The fence there has just been renovated by the Boulder Youth Corp. The playground area includes a swing set, a little sand box, a metal climbing gym sort of thing, and various other bits and bobs.
