Ok I think I know where this place might be. But, this is how i remember where it is but, I had to go to the Shell gas station. I don't know the roads name. But, I know what the road change names. So that roads runs into after passing Shell on ur right side and at the light and to my left side me is the Rd name & some ppl this Rd as Old Louisville Rd but I think last year in the fall give or take the name of this Rd was changed to River road. But me leaving the the store and across the street to the Weldon Peek Park where ppl can sit and park and at night there a bridge that has different color lights on the top part of the bridge. The cross a river, once I get a quarter of the bridge and stop and look on my right side and see main Rd for Old Louisville Rd/ River road and u can see another bridge toward traffic to be able to drive over. Ok now I have done walked over the bridge at to the end of bridge there are 3 Yellow Post & I my understanding of the 3 Yellow Post was there for is where vechiles can't get on the bridge and that is Weldon Peek Park ends. I used to live over there off Old Louisville Rd (old name) 2018 fall the Rd was changed to River...
Read moreGlass on the trails. My family and I are visiting the area from out of state and my husband took our kids to the Corvette museum. We have a dog with us, so I decided to take him on the trails here at Weldon Peete. I was really disappointed to see all the broken glass. We walked the hard trails counter clockwise. After the first few bits of glass I questioned if we should head back. I didn’t want my dog to get glass in his paws but figured it might be just the short length of the trail I was on and by turning around I would be doubling his chances of getting hurt. So we continued forward and so did the glass. It was almost as if someone was purposely sprinkling glass shards through the trail. It was ridiculous. We crossed two trail intersections and each time I thought, surely there wouldn’t be more glass on the next portion of the trail but I was wrong. By the third section I was fed up and didn’t want to keep risking it, so we turned around and left via the easy trail. We didn’t see any glass on the easy trails. Such a shame, otherwise this would be a nice spot to get out...
