🌴 Palm Sola Bay - Bradenton, FL: A Hidden Gem for Family Fun! 🌊 We had such a lovely Sunday at Palm Sola Bay in Bradenton. It’s a simple but charming spot, perfect for a family day out. There are covered cabanas, picnic tables, BBQ grills, public restrooms, and drinking water available. The atmosphere is peaceful and very family-friendly. We caught some blue crabs, and one of the highlights of the day was seeing a manatee about 10 feet long swimming right in front of us — it was amazing to see a manatee so close! The water is calm and safe for kids, and just across the street there’s a busy beach area where people fish, relax, and enjoy the sun. Nothing fancy, but everything you need for a perfect, relaxing day. We will definitely be back! ⭐ Tip: Bring chairs, sunscreen, and fishing gear if you can — it’s a great...
Read moreFairly clean beach. We decided to give it a try because our kids were getting knocked down by waves and having trouble swimming on the beaches on Anna Maria. The water was nice and calm. Also the water was very clear. You can easily see the bottom. It isn’t as soft as the ocean beaches sand but at least you can see the bottom. We found a couple different species of crab on the shore. They were live crabs! First crab I’m not sure the name of but it’s spiral shell is pretty popular in souvenir shops. The second is the rare horseshoe crab. We found this pair mating on the shore. They didn’t like me touching them. They raised their barbs out of the sand in defense and then made their way to the water so I would leave them alone. Very unique experience in nature. I...
Read moreI've been here half a dozen times now. It's a beautiful place to pull over in your vehicle and park right on the water. It can be so peaceful to just sit in a beach chair next to your rig. That being said, if you're looking for a peaceful visit, I recommend not visiting on a Saturday or Sunday. Every visit i've made on a weekend day, I haven't been able to enjoy it because of loud (bad) music being played the whole time. So stick to less busy times if that's what you're after. Worth mentioning: There are different birds you can see here. There are no restrooms here. There is a trash can here and there along the causeway. It's just a one lane road running along the causeway with a high-ish speed limit, so slowing down to find a spot may annoy the...
