Swamp Tours of Acadiana — Attraction in Breaux Bridge

Edited: We received a response back on this review and I can assure you, while we were there, there wasn't a drop of rain and it was sunny and beautiful the entire time. We are the ones that called and called and called. We definitely would have answered if we received a call back as this was one of our main excursions while on vacation. We were panicked that at such a last minute we wouldn't get a swamp tour which is why we came. I have NO reason to fabricate, lie or mislead anyone with this review. I have nothing to gain. After seeing the response this further solidifies the character of this business owner. I would like to believe that by a slim chance he wrote our number down wrong, but being that no one bothered to answer our calls, I don't believe it for a second.

We called a week in advance and made a reservation for either Wed. or Thursday. We called on Monday as he asked to confirm. No answer. Called and called. Never even called us back. Fortunately for us we ended up finding a tour guide that I feel confident was much better than this guy. He was all bells and whistles on the phone. We were excited to tour with him because he talks a big game and delivers nothing. Don't waste your time and even bother. I saw a few bad reviews recently posted and now they are gone. I am sure in some way he had them removed. All in all, kind of a dishonest person that only does this part time as he works the pipeline so he could care less if he is...

My husband and I and our 2 daughters (ages 2 and almost 4) took two swamp tours with Bryce. He was so amazing during our first tour that we decided we had to take another tour before our one week vacation was over. He was incredible during both tours and took us to different parts of the swamp both times. He is very knowledgeable of all the things in the swamp. He explained all the different wildlife we were seeing. We were able to see multiple alligators, turtles, and different kinds of birds. He also talked to us about the other things in the swamp that weren't animals. We were able to get multiple good pictures of the wildlife. Bryce was really good about turning back around if we were unable to get a good look of something. My girls had a blast on both tours. My oldest daughter got so into the tour that she was trying to spot alligators by the end of it. We came on vacation here because we are looking into moving to the area and he was so kind and gave us a ton of information about places to eat, things to see, and places for possible jobs if we do choose to move to the area. He went above and beyond during both tours. He makes the tour feel like you're just hanging out on the swamp with an old friend. We can't see ourselves going with anyone else whenever we do come back to the area for another tour. Thank you SO MUCH Bryce, for everything! I'm sure we'll be back to...

If you're reading this review you probably were like me, spending too much time trying to figure out which type of swamp tour to do: traditional boat, airboat, small boat. And so many different companies to pick from! But I don't think I would have enjoyed any of the other tours as much as I did the one with Swamp Tours of Acadiana. Hours of research later (and actually taking a trip) and Swamp Tours of Acadiana is hands down the best option in terms of quality and pricing! It was so good that I wouldn't mind doing the same one again.

Ashley was really helpful in booking a private swamp tour for our family with short notice! Bryce our swamp guide was AMAZING!!! Our group learned so much about the swamp and its ecosystem. Bryce can name any bird in the swamp and even recognize the alligators. He also went out of his way to show us some really cool fish eggs! I've never seen anything like that. Bryce also gave us the option to speed through the lake really fast a couple times, which everyone in the family really enjoyed!
