Very disappointed , we were there yesterday on Saturday 12th before mother’s day and me and my 3 kids were so excited to go there but there were almost like no cheeries left. The moment we entered the farm as told at registration counter we were looking for blue panited trees which was no where to find. After long time in search of cheeries we looked 3-4 rows and then my husband said lets just go to another farm then suddenly my 5 year old saw some cheeries in top of the trees so we decided lets just fill one bucket somehow and lets go somewhere else. Then comes the checkout incident. When i gave my bucket at the counter the lady ( must be in her 20’s african american) she told me weight is 5lbs, so i gave her $20 and i was waiting for my money back ($3.50/lb x 5 IS $17.50) when i was waiting she rudely turn around to her friends me still waiting and after some time she said looked at me , i said i gave you $20 she very rudely said that’s what your total is. I felt so bad to ask her again how much was the weight and all, decided to let it go. I strongly recommend the farm owners to please let the people know before they enter the farm about the availablity cheeries, if you are out of cheeries don’t let so many people enter the farm. And also check the people you hire to represent your farm , they are not doing any good job to...
Read moreThe cherries tastes are consistent - I meant cherries taste the same throughout the whole orchard even with different varieties - it's tart but not sour..don't know if that makes sense? We went on memorial Day for a seasonal reference. They have tractor rides as well. I recommend to bring a water bottle to clean the cherries that you would like to eat at the orchard. Don't forget the hat and sunscreen. Folding chairs are nice to have after all the walking and heat exhaustion. I recommend you fill out the waiver on line ahead of time to save time. I asked to please don't drive too fast at the parking lot, leaving or coming-in, as a courtesy to everyone - sometimes there are breastfeeding moms or loading kids and hanging out at their vehicles. The farm also provided bathroom which is nice and appreciated... clean or not. See you...
Read moreThis was my 1st time going cherry picking and I loved it! So much fun!
GS Farms makes it easy for you to pre pay and purchase your entrance fee which currently is 10 dollars per vehicle. The 10 dollars later goes towards your purchase of cherries. Lots of parking and I recommend getting there early in the morning due to the sun and the heat. We got there a little bit after 9am.
I ate a lot of cherries along with picking them. There are a few ladders laying around and you can climb up and pick thr darker cherries higher up on the trees. Dark and delicious!
Spent about 2 hours there and it was close to 97 degrees when I left towards lunch time. They charge you 4 dollars a pound versus the 6 dollars currently charged at supermarkets. A lot of cherries to pass out to friends and family. Bring lots of water and hat...
