This is a beautiful, educational place filled with historical significance about America's pioneer mission towards scientific forestry. We stumbled upon it on our way from the Blue Ridge Parkway to Looking Glass Falls. And I'm very happy we did. The staff here is very courteous, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The 30-min educational video about this place and a talented German gentleman Mr. Carl Schenck who helped educate the youth of America and equipped them with a scientific approach towards forestry was phenomenal. The trails here are well maintained and filled with beautiful nature, native trees and more artifacts about the awesome stories this place has witnessed. I would definitely reccomended a visit to all. The trails are dog-friendly with clean bathroom facilities. We also got some gifts for our neighbor's kids from...
