This is an easy, family friendly hike through beautiful forests and meadows. You have the option to do a longer 5ish mile hike or cut through the middle of the loop to do a shorter 3ish mile hike. Most of the trail is obvious and well marked, with the only tricky section being where you cross the creek for the first time (we were following a map on the AllTrails app). We lost the trail but backtracked and found it pretty quickly. There are parts where you have to cross shallow water on rocks so make sure to wear sturdy footwear. We stayed dry. Also, During the fall their is a lot of leaf litter in the trail that obscures medium sized rocks and lots of tree roots, So...

That said, I can’t speak on the quality of the trail itself, but this place sure provided an unforgettable experience +...

I'm primarily interested in seeing wildlife and a few stop-worthy views when I hike, and Pink Beds delivered. Saw a bunch of cool birds and a couple of short-tailed shrews. As other reviewers have mentioned, the boardwalk over the wetlands/creek beds on the south side of the trail is fantastic. Note: this hike was rated as "easy" by an online trail guide, but my kids found it fairly difficult because, although there's not much of a climb, the paths were often muddy and, when not muddy, were heavily...
