December 26, 2014 was a very interesting, but fun day. We started at Jones Gap State Park. We hiked down Jones Gap trail to Cold Spring Branch trail where we turned back to Rim of the Gap to find out that it was closed for ice. So, we turned down Naturaland Trust Trail to head back towards Jones Gap, but ended up on Pinnacle pass (beautiful trail btw). However, we got about halfway down it when we couldn't find the cut back to Little Pinnacle. So instead of walking all the way back, we tried to find an alternative route, but didn't. We finally had to result to walking down Oil Creek Camp Road to HWY. 97, where thank The Lord a Good Samaritan gave us a ride in the back of his pick-up truck to our car at Jones Gap. Overall we hiked about 20 miles and despite not finding the trail, it was a great day at Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area....

Some of the best views in all of South Carolina. I've been over most of the main trails all the way up to Raven Cliff Falls atop Caesar's Head. You can start at Jones Gap on the Blue blaze and continue it through raven cliff falls, to table Rock State park, go to almost the top of table Rock, turn left just before the summit and continue on to Sassafras Mountain, south carolina's tallest mountain. You can then continue into Oconee State Park and then continue on tut trails into Georgia if you please. This route through the mountains of upstate south carolina is called the...

Went camping for 4 days Absolutely beautiful 😍 😍😍. We camped at Site #5, #3, #7. #7 was our favorite and right next to the water. We visited Rainbow Falls, breath taking. The staff was amazing especially Elliott, he was very helpful we actually booked for Site #10 and he gave us options for other sites that was closer, which we were truly grateful. Everyone was so kind and I definitely...

SPLENDID!! The Rainbow Falls hike kicked our butts, but man, it's worth it!! The waterfall is beautiful. You can kick off your shoes and soak your feet. Definitely bring water and a snack, while there's no actual climbing, there are A LOT of stone steps and pretty much a consistent incline. I failed to wear a knee brace and regretted it. But again, worth every moment!

Very well maintained trails! Depending on where you park, there may be limited parking, so try to get there early on nice, sunny weekends. Even on a rainy day, we got a glimpse of Raven Cliff Falls. Before we saw it, we listened to the sound for about 10 minutes and we were blown away by the amount of water we could hear! Truly amazing.
