THE premiere park for dogs, at least on lower cape. Plenty of room on both big and small dog sides. Sand pit for safe play, mulch on the periphery, shade in the trees, sun on the gravel. Also some dog equipment for climbing or tricks. The park is well maintained by a volunteer staff that really cares. But the best part of all is that it's very popular, meaning there are other dogs to play with or snuggle at most times. Dogs are their own beings with agency, so sometimes one might get fussy, but generally you don't have to worry about any dog because most are well socialized and very good little boys and girls. Other side for under 15lb. Unless you have a little one who has the confidence of a Big boy" like our dog at 13lb. He gets along brillantly with the big boys. Noone seems to care as long as everyone gets along. Drink fountain for dogs. Trees, benches. Some folks agree the "piece de resistance" would be dog exercise platforms, stairs, bridges, tunnels. Read moreI do love this dog park but I will say a few things that dog people should know. I have a young dog that recently got kennel cough from there. It’s the only socializing my dog does at the moment and he got sick a few days after playing with a few younger dogs at the park. Also, sometimes bigger dogs end up in the small dog area and my dog got ran over by one 3 times aggressively and the owner was no where to be found !
