Bridgeton Harbor Marina — Attraction in Bridgeton

Just came from California. I am 60 years old starting all over again, alone. I found the Bridgeton Harbor to be very attractively quaint. For a True Mature Adult, Who has lived Coast to Coast North West, North East and, most recently in Southern California, In the Oxnard/Ventura/ Santa Barbara Coastal Marina area's. Now The South East. Abundant Natural Beauty and Wildlife. A place certainly to get away from it All nut yet Close enough to the New Bern Marina and the hotel where there is some entertainment on occasions and possibly be able to socialize with some like adults Will be looking further into learning more about this Location and it's...

We love this place! We are new to the sailing community but have been welcomed here by wonderful people who have offered their help and most importantly their knowledge! We have learned so much, still much more to learn and experience. We are from NC however 4.5 hours west in the Hickory area... close to Boone NC. We come down for long weekends and could care less about a pool, restaurant on site or hotel on site. The price Is Just Right for all they have on site. We stayed here for a month, & had a positive experience. The staff (Brad & Tim) are very helpful, the facilities are clean, it's well protected from the winds that can be strong. We rented a car to be able to go into the downtown w/great restaurants. Bridgeton has 1 grocery, Food Lion, a 5 min drive from the marina - not close enough to walk to. Publix & Harris Teeter are a 15 min drive into New Bern. The closest Sam's Club is in Jacksonville, which we visited. The closest Costco is in Wilmington. Lots to do in New Bern if u have a car.
