The people were nice but forgot my wedding cake. I’m really glad I called the day of to remind them, or else we would not have had a cake. The cake was rushed to be decorated and it was obvious, felt like we overpaid for what we received. We also asked for lemon filling and received a plain vanilla cake. It tastes good and at least we had a cake, just extremely disappointed with it. Still had a great wedding day!

My husband came home with a tray full of cookies, he said someone sold them at the dealership while he was waiting for his car. I'm not a big fan of cookies, but after the first bite I fell in love with them, they were all delicious 😋

I decided on a whim today to grab some treats for some good friends. I happened upon The Backstreet Bakery and grabbed a bunch of various treats, but I couldn’t resist grabbing a blueberry scone for myself. It was amazing. I’m generally not a scone fan. I find them too dry for the most part, but this blueberry scone today was absolute perfection and amazing! I highly recommend. Now I kind of wish I had tried some of the other treats that I got. Wow! What a wonderful bakery! The staff are SO friendly! Great customer service, they are simply the best bakery in New Bern and the best bakery in Bridgeton!

I had a blueberry scone that was delicious. They had a ton of beautiful pastries and baked goods available and I can't wait to try more.

They also have gluten free options at no extra cost! Be sure to call and see what's available because they go fast!

We made our first trip here this morning! What a wonderful aroma as you walk in! Mom and daughter were a pure delight to talk with! We wanted one of everything in the shop! I already had to break into the warm Italian bread! It was delicious! This is a MUST STOP! They are open to the public Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Other days they are baking special orders.
