Yankee Lake Ballroom — Attraction in Brookfield Township

Place has steadily gone downhill since the O'Briens took over. Food and drink prices have gone up, but they still pay their staff the bare minimum and won't even improve the gross bathrooms or ballroom that's been the same since the 70s. Owners are constantly seen in the bar getting drunk while the poor waitress does 5 other people's jobs. They're kicking out Battlefront Paintball after everything Pat has done for them to clean up the property with a handshake deal they never honored, he's put tons of his own money into maintaining their equipment and field in lieu of rent but they refuse to sign any guarantee with him because they don't have a lease for the property themselves, they would rather have the lake to 4-wheel with their friends than have an actual long-term money-making business on site. Beautiful facility, the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the price to get in and the price of alcohol need to be lowered. It was 15 dollars a piece to get in for Country at the boot. The mixes were 7 dollars, and beers were 5 dollars. They had a vip area, which was 25 dollars a piece as well. There was nothing special about that area other than you had table service, and that's it. That area was off the dance floor, and whoever was sitting there couldn't see the band due to all the dancing. The dance floor was small due to the tables lined up on the sides. Attended a wedding at this establishment and it was pretty disgusting. Mold on the vertical blinds, ceiling fans coated in grime/dust, a "weird smell" everywhere, bathroom stalls don't lock/line up properly, and noticeably dirty floors. Girls were removing heals and their feet were black in just a couple of minutes. It needs a ton of updating and cleaning. Loads of potential but definitely missing the mark as of right now.
