My aunt and I, along with a friend of ours, had such a wonderful experience at this beautiful monastery. We were fortunate to receive a guided tour from a warm-hearted gentleman named Andrew. During our visit, we explored the enchanting surrounding forest, where we discovered icons adorning some of the trees. We even had the pleasure of meeting some adorable goats! The priests and monks follow strict practices, so please do not get offended if some of them do not look at you or speak to you. They mean no harm and are simply trying to focus their attention solely on God while also praying for the world (including you). They are not trying to be rude, but have simply committed themselves to God and God alone. Women and men are asked to dress modestly, making sure that their legs and arms are covered. Women should wear a headscarf out of respect. Coverings are available at the monastery and can be borrowed if you have forgotten your own. Visitors are also welcomed to remain for liturgy and/or vesper services. We stayed for the 6pm vesper service and were very glad that we did. We ended our visit at their gift shop where we purchased beautiful icons to take home, as well as some delicious sweetbread made by the monks themselves. It was a wonderful day filled with memorable moments.

Beautiful space for prayer and reflection. Nice little gift shop selling icons. A friendly monk gave us a brief tour.

Love! Great place to learn about Christianity. They make and sell icons, books, incense, candles and sweetbread.
