if you come to two medicine, be prepared to meet some of the most unpleasant and unhelpful park rangers. greeted by the grumpiest old man at the front entrance who made backhanded comments about us not having a passenger window to roll down, God forbid he had to walk to the drivers window to check our campsite reservation. then, proceeded to walk into the ranger station to ask the them about their personal favorite hike to do in this section of the park, as we do in each national park. the woman was so incredibly rude, it genuinely caught me off guard. she couldnāt answer my question because i was ānot there for a backcountry permitā and she couldnāt direct me to another person to ask. literally just told me to read the map. lol have a huge sign on the door if you donāt want people coming in asking questions that rangerās are supposed to be able to answer. a really nice visitor, just waiting in the station, was kind enough to give me a trail suggestion, but it wasnāt particularly the info i was looking for. just dumbfounded how unpleasant most of the backcountry rangers iāve interacted with are (this is the 3rd bad experience in less...
