Our stay at Smoky Mountain High was a combination of disappointment in the property and appreciation of the views. The parking is narrow and allows little room for turning around. The drive leading down to the garage and lower level is rutted out and needs re-graveled. The cabin itself is beautiful, but basic amenities advertised by the property managers were not available, including a full set of dishes, glasses/coffee mugs, and utensils for 12 people. The thermostat was set to heat and we were not allowed to change it to air conditioning. The DVD player had broken buttons and was nearly impossible to use. The DVD and game collection was sparse so bring your own. Each bathroom was allotted one roll of toilet paper and beyond that we had to buy our own. For a cabin that does not allow children, bunk beds are not appropriate sleeping arrangements for adults and should be replaced with regular beds. The bunk beds were extremely uncomfortable and squeaked with every move, waking all other occupants in the room. The mattresses were clearly old and needed replacing and indeed older reviews I’ve read from 2022 and earlier have stated the need for the bunk bed mattresses to be replaced which indicates they have not been. Perhaps most importantly, the hot tub had not been prepared for us to use (this was one of the bigger selling features of the cabin). When we took the cover off there was only a few inches of water in the bottom and the hose nearby had instructions to be used for emergencies only. Needless to say, we were unable to enjoy the hot tub during our stay. On a brighter note, the view was beautiful and we were able to enjoy the leaves during peak color season. We didn’t see any wildlife except for squirrels. I most likely would not stay here again unless significant updates were made to make this a true “luxury”...

We stayed at Tom's Trail Cabin from February 17 through February 21. This was an anniversary trip for my husband and me, and when we saw the pictures and description of Tom's Trail, we thought it would be the perfect getaway. Sadly, we were left dissapointed. The cabin, itself, was very nice on the inside. Cute and cozy. The hot tub was nice, too. What was misleading, however, was the fact that the cabin is located about 500ft or so from the interstate. Right off the back porch (where the hot tub is located) is the interstate, and all of the noise that comes along with it. So, relaxing in the hot tub was not as serene as we had hoped for. Additionally, just off the side of the porch was someone's home, which was not kept up as nice as one would hope for if that was the view you had. Behind the cabin was another cabin, almost exactly the same, and then a house on the top of the hill. No views there, either. The only "view" was if you looked past/above the interstate and to one view of the mountains. Again, the cabin was clean, it seemed, but there was one evening when we were sitting in front of the fireplace inside and two deflated heart-shaped balloons floated out from who knows where, and when I was looking for the washer/dryer, inside that closet was a pile of wet/dirty towels from the guests before us. That made me question the entire cleanliness of the cabin at that point. The bed was comfy, the inside fireplace was lovely, and the cabin's size was great for the two of us. It just wasn't the "romantic getaway" that we were hoping for. I think that the advertisments really need to show the true pictures of the views on each side of the cabin, and definitely need to mention the interstate noise. We will not go back to this particular cabin...

Literally the worst experience ever. Do not stay with them. Reading these reviews, I’m not the only one who had a problem with Kelly. I thought the manager would help but they both accused me of cursing at them. I was upset, I was stern, but in no way did I yell, use profanity, or anything close to their accusations. Wish they could’ve pulled up the recorded line that companies have as disclosures for the specific reason.

They cancelled our reservation and claimed I was trying to double dip and get more back. From the other reviews, they are money hungry no matter how nasty they have to get. At the end of the day, it’s their word against the guests. Highly recommend never staying with them and their horrible customer service. I had my Fiance who is very cool minded and calm in situations like this, talk to her in my place because of the rudeness I got from her (maybe because of my slight Indian accent?). She hung up on him, and wouldn’t even give the name the manager saying it’s confidential information.

Bottom line, I didn’t even get to stay here and I’m giving it a horrible review. In a way I lost $50 but so glad I didn’t stay here and ruin our vacation. According to the other reviews, we got lucky. Should’ve read the reviews before I booked with them.

I had guests coming from Hawaii, California, and Virginia and so I needed a cabin for that weekend. I looked up my old reservation from my 22nd birthday with Bryson city cabin rentals. I rebooked with them with a 10% discount for returning guests. Highly recommend looking into them. They’re also closer to all the attractions we...

We stayed at Lookout Lodge in April for our spring break vacation, and it was absolutely perfect in every way. The cabin is stunning—beautifully maintained, immaculately clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. The views from the deck were nothing short of breathtaking, and we spent countless hours just soaking in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains. The layout was ideal for our group—spacious yet cozy, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and unwind. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we loved grilling outside and enjoying meals with a view. The hot tub and game room were huge hits, especially in the evenings. The location was also perfect: private and peaceful, yet just a short drive to everything Bryson City has to offer. Whether we were hiking, exploring waterfalls, or just lounging at the cabin, every day felt like a true escape. We can’t say enough good things about Lookout Lodge and Great Smokys Cabin Rentals. If you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing mountain getaway, this is it. We’re already planning our return trip!

My wife and I rented from Great Smokys Cabin Rental and stayed at the Creekside Hideaway cabin. It was beautiful. James and Kelli made sure we had all the information we needed. My wife most loved the little creek running behind the cabin. We left the bedroom window open while we slept just enough to hear the water running. My personal favorite was the hot tub on the deck facing the creek. I made use of that every day. We brought our own food. The cabin had absolutely everything we needed for cooking and serving meals. It was cool while we were there. But the cabin has a good furnace and kept us nice and warm. The tap water there is really good too. I only mention this because we travel a lot and some places don’t have tasty water. This place had some of the best water we’ve ever had. We love staying in rustic cabins with modern conveniences. If you do too, this cabin will not disappoint. A attached a brief video showing the view from the deck out back. Those little rocking chairs were where we had coffee each morning.
