A nice small set of falls that is easy to get to along a wide road. This site can be reached by 2 different methods. Our navigation app took us the more difficult way which was a rock/dirt road that went over the hill. I would suggest looking for the paved alternate route and taking that one. I highly recommend taking the well-paved part for everyone. Parking is limited in the parking lot that is at the trailhead for the falls. This location leads to several trails and at least 2 falls that are a short hike: Juney Whank and Tom Creek. Tom Creek is the easiest falls to get to and to see. Straight in front of the parking lot, to the right of the Juney Whank Trailhead, there is a wide road path, fairly flat with not much of a slope. Take that road for about 0.3 miles to the falls. You will probably see a group of people on the right side of the road. There are benches and steps and the falls are across the river from you. There is a way for the more adventurous to get down to the river or to the rocks if you want to get closer or get better pictures. It is a nice easy set of falls to see. It is a broad set of falls that is short by most standards but worth seeing if you like nature and...
Read moreAmazing short little hike to three waterfalls!
We hiked less than 2.5 miles in order to see all three of the waterfalls that this trail had to offer. You can hike to two of them in less than .2 miles and one (Indian Creek Falls) is about .8 miles. All three of them are gorgeous and I'd strongly suggest taking the time to see all three!
The trails are well maintained, easy to follow, very easy to hike, and not steep at all (with one exception, Juney Whank Falls being at a slight incline, but very short distance, and very beautiful).
The park is lovely. The falls are all gorgeous. We went during the week, so there were no crowds to deal with. You can rent or bring tubes to go tubing, and we did see a couple people tubing as we hiked, it looked great and we plan to return with tubes in the future.
All in all, it's a beautiful place to spend the day! It's free, it's gorgeous, and it's worth a...
Read moreTom Branch falls are some of the most charming waterfalls i have encountered. Beauty is often in the eye of the beholder, and waterfalls are not always about sheer size or volume.
On the contrary, it is their juxtaposition with the surroundings as well as the peculiar shape of the water flow and the rock on which they run.
Here everything comes together just perfect to form something wonderful; the multi-level cascades are a playful pleasure to the eye given the different shapes the rock and the water form on each level.
Unlike most falls, they flow into a running creek, already being unique. And if you stand at the right angle below a tree opposite the waterfalls, the view will form a fantastic composition of natural elements and...
