I purchased a packet of potato chips from Buffalo Food Center, and when I opened it, the taste was strange. Upon checking the expiration date, I noticed a white sticker that said “Best Before: March 2026.” Out of curiosity, I peeled the sticker off and found the original printed expiration date underneath: September 2024 — meaning the product is already expired.
This is a serious concern, especially since this snack is clearly targeted toward children. Covering up an old expiration date with a new one is not only deceptive but also dangerous and illegal under U.S. food safety regulations.
