My boyfriend and I went here to stay cool in this melt your skin off heat. We had so much fun. Now I use to work at the carlsbad caverns in NM so, to me, this cave was small. But, don't let that stop you from going because it was still breath taking and the staff was funny and knowledgeable. To see the cave you simply purchase tickets for the tour and there was no line to do so when we got there around 10am or so. Our tour group was small, just us and 2 other people. Though we did pass larger groups while we were in there. We were also informed that you can have weddings inside the cave, that's cool. There were a few lizards and frogs to see while in the cave. Also a game of 'which way is the river flowing'. The cave is not wheelchair accessible and you do have to walk up some natural steps to visit one of the rooms. But I walk with a cane and had little to no trouble.

We really enjoyed our visit to the caverns here, plus the historical village. I think I enjoyed the village even more but unfortunately it looks like it was been left to deteriorate over the years. Walking into the blacksmithing shop was truly awesome as I’m a lover of all old tools, including metal working. The general store was also amazing everywhere you look inside including the original post office area. There’s a lot of very cool old things to look at in there. I hope the owners try to preserve what they have. They should reach out to some local blacksmithing organizations to see if some volunteers would come clean up the shop and make it a functional operation for the guests. The tour guides were very friendly and informative. 👍🏻

We camp around here every year and never knew about this spot! You can spend an hour here or you can spend a couple hours, it's up to you and your group! Our guide was full of information throughout our tour. There is a gift shop for you to walk around with all kinds of souvenirs, toys, or snacks. Also, there are historical buildings you can walk into and immerse in the history of it all. The cave tour itself is roughly 30 minutes and not heavily strenuous; the walk down and up to the cavern entrance is the steepest portion of the tour. We had a larger group, ages ranging from 3-50 and everyone enjoyed the excursion.

It was okay. The cave itself is pretty small and there's a few basic formations. The "rooms" are pretty tight in most areas so I wouldn't recommend going with a big group because you'll have a good chance of being too far back to see what's being pointed out. It's an okay stop for passing an hour if you're looking for something to do in the area, but it wasn't incredibly fun.

I was disappointed with the guide. The man at the front desk was very friendly, but our guide was awful. She seemed annoyed like she didn't want to be there and was spouting off rapidly and monotone like she was reading from a script. She even paused and recited her words over again because she messed up her lines. Not only was she in a hurry with her flat delivery, but she was downright rude several times.

The door was supposed to remain closed and a few guests (from the previous) left it open after they exited. The guide sharply said to us, "Close the door," as if we were children who had gone over and opened it to be obnoxious. It was incredibly awkward. She told us to wait before entering the cave because several people from that previous tour were still trickling out, so we did. Then she went down a few steps and turned around to stare at us for a moment before asking, "Are you coming?" She hadn't told us that it was clear to follow.

Bottom line: The guides are essential to making these tours fun, especially if the cave doesn't have a lot of "wow" factor. This was not a fun tour. I would recommend asking to meet your guide before you commit to...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 If you’re within 500 miles of Bull Shoals Caverns and you don’t go, are you even living?

From the moment we descended into the cool, ancient earth, we knew we were in for something special. But nothing—and I mean nothing—could have prepared us for the sheer awesomeness that awaited us beneath the surface.

The real hero of this subterranean saga? JIM. Tour guide, cave whisperer, certified legend. This man didn’t just give a tour—he performed one. His knowledge? Impeccable. His humor? Sharper than a stalactite. His passion? As deep as the caverns themselves. Jim made us feel like we were on an epic quest through time—part Indiana Jones, part Nat Geo documentary, part rock concert.

We explored jaw-dropping formations that looked like something out of a fantasy novel. We met salamanders who clearly moonlight as mystical cave guardians. We were plunged into total, goosebump-inducing darkness, and it was somehow both terrifying and awesome. Then came the moment of glory: we played cave bacon drums—YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT. Literal musical rock formations. I didn’t know percussion-based cave joy was a thing, but now I can’t live without it.

Every twist, turn, and echo held a new surprise. It wasn’t just a tour—it was an adventure. We laughed, we learned, we beat on rocks like prehistoric rockstars.

10/10. No—infinity/10. We’re already planning our return. Jim, save us a spot on your next tour. We’re...

It was $25 and was not very long. It was not as long as the website says it is. We felt rushed. If the same man is doing the tours all day maybe he should rotate with someone else. I think he said he had already done 6 tours that day. We were the 2nd to last tour of the day. There are some cool features in the cave. Before we started the tour he said something about it being too late in the day to do something, so maybe we missed something? It looked like the little olden day town on the property had an additional fee. I'm not sure if the little town was what he was saying it was too late for. The gift store sells candy, rocks, and other stuff. The tour guide told us to go to the bathroom like 6 times before the tour. So, make sure you go to the bathroom ahead of time, they must have trouble with people having to go to the bathroom during the tour. We didn't see any bats or salamanders. He said that the bats don't live there in the in the summer. They only...
