Beautiful hike — but very uphill! I believe this was listed as easy/moderate but I would definitely put it in the moderate category. However, the views were still beautiful and this is the perfect hike for a weekend morning or afternoon. Be sure to bring water as it does get hot and there is not a lot of shade on the way up.

There are several restrooms (outhouses and actual bathrooms) at the various trailhead entrances. There are a few parking lots as you get closer to the trail head, but many people park on the side of the street towards the bottom. Several people were hiking with dogs so it is dog friendly, but I would highly recommend bringing an extra water bowl if...

I'm new to hiking I went here for the 1st time. I will first say that I was advised to go next door to Stough Canyon Nature Center to use the restroom, because they only have Porta pots, and uh ruhhhh. I AM not a Porta-potty type of girl. Now the trail itself was great and challenging which is why I went, for the challenge. The tree lined trail was beautiful and rewarding, unlike Stough Canyon Trail, they provided shade and a nice breeze that I looked forward to as it was H🔥T in the Valley. I would definitely, and highly recommend WILDWOOD. I believe that I left some fat up there and I hope That nobody goes to there and find...

Nice trail for a short hike. Go early morning or before sunset during the warm months because there is very little shade. I like that you can make it as short or as long as you want. You can turn back to the road in a few spots or extend it to connect to another trail that goes to the top of the Verdugo mountains. It's popular, dogs on leash are welcome. You will find porta potties at the trail heads along the park road as well as picnic tables. There is a small parking lot next to the park entrance, a few spots next to the picnic areas along the road, but I saw a lot of people park on the road next to the...

A couple of the trails get a little narrow and jagged and there aren't any signs up there. We accidentally went down what seemed like a deer trail and it was very narrow and steep. Otherwise it's a great place to go for a quick hike. The longest point is only about a mile. The easiest hike would be to drive all the way in and take the trail there to the front and then Turn back and go back out the same way. If you want the most resistance, start your hike toward front end of the park and take it all the way around.

I've always liked this little quiet park because It's near the city but you cannot hear the city. Being in a canyon gives it a nice sense of solitude even though vehicles drive up and down often enough. The BPD firing range is accessible thru this park so you know you're never alone. Beware of rattlers on the trails. I've seen deer wander thru on occasion. The flies are annoying. The hillside is still charred from the last fire we had here in 2017 but the picnic grass is green.
