Beautiful hike — but very uphill! I believe this was listed as easy/moderate but I would definitely put it in the moderate category. However, the views were still beautiful and this is the perfect hike for a weekend morning or afternoon. Be sure to bring water as it does get hot and there is not a lot of shade on the way up.
There are several restrooms (outhouses and actual bathrooms) at the various trailhead entrances. Read moreI'm new to hiking I went here for the 1st time. I will first say that I was advised to go next door to Stough Canyon Nature Center to use the restroom, because they only have Porta pots, and uh ruhhhh. I AM not a Porta-potty type of girl. Now the trail itself was great and challenging which is why I went, for the challenge. I would definitely, and highly recommend WILDWOOD. I believe that I left some fat up there and I hope That nobody goes to there and find...
Read moreNice trail for a short hike. Go early morning or before sunset during the warm months because there is very little shade. I like that you can make it as short or as long as you want. You can turn back to the road in a few spots or extend it to connect to another trail that goes to the top of the Verdugo mountains. It's popular, dogs on leash are welcome. You will find porta potties at the trail heads along the park road as well as picnic tables. There is a small parking lot next to the park entrance, a few spots next to the picnic areas along the road, but I saw a lot of people park on the road next to the...
