This employee made my first and LAST visit to Boomtown Bay horrific. Came in with my to visit the park and my experience was absolutely horrible. I brought in a bag with sunscreen, a towel, sunscreen, and a speaker and my bag was checked and went in just fine. Did maybe 2 laps in the lazy river then I went and got my speaker and got back in the lazy river and started playing music nothing inappropriate as I was in the lazy river a lifeguard told me that a manager said I was not allowed to have it, I got out of the lazy river went back to table to put up my speaker when she and another coworker approached me and told me I wasn’t allowed to have my speaker, I then asked if there was a policy or rule she could show me that I violated and she couldn’t furnish one. After she couldn’t show any violation she then proceeded to tell me I had to leave and I told her I was not leaving because I didn’t do anything wrong. She then said she would call the police to escort me off the premises. Police show up ask her what happened, then proceeded to ask me what happened and I told them exactly what happened. I was not barred, not given a citation or anything. Matter of fact I was given advice to file a complaint with the GM. I did have to leave but it was for only about an hour. The police said I didn’t lie, I told them exactly what happened and I didn’t violate a policy or rule but they did want things to de-escalate. Upon arriving back at the park reentry was a breeze and no issues and was given A FULL APOLOGY by her coworker who initially walked up to me with her.

Boomtown is the perfect place for children ages 1 - 12! They have a few smaller slides for younger children and two bigger slides for children over 48". They have an actual pool with a diving board and a lazy river that was fun to chill in. The staff was very friendly and helpful! This is a great place to hangout on a hot day if you need to get the kids out of the house. Regular admission is $6.50 per person, but offer a military price of $5/person and don't charge tax! The only complaint I have is the speed of getting people tickets at the entrance and the knowledge of the front cashiers. It took about 40 minutes to get inside after waiting in line. I would get there around 11:30 and get in line around then.

One of my favorite places to cool off.Well kept & clean. Bathrooms aren’t gross normally either. Small waterpark and helped me to feel comfortable with my kids and keeping an eye on them unlike larger water parks. Plenty to do for the younger kids and doesn’t break the bank! Always something to eat or drink if you need it. Bring extra bucks for that.

The attractions are fun but the lack of staff makes this place dangerous for children. The first time we went to Boomtown my family had a great time. It was well staffed and there were plenty of lifeguards. The second time, however was an entirely different experience. The first time we went the small child waterslide/bucket had a lifeguard present, as did the larger waterslide. The second time the larger slide had a lifeguard but the small child one did not. Four or five children kept shoving young children and toddlers off the attraction, going down the slide three at a time, shoving and cutting in line, knocking my five year old down even with me standing beside him. Several children got hurt. I went to speak with a lifeguard but she didn't do anything. After the third child was injured I asked to speak to whoever was in charge. A young woman came out and told me she was the manager. She said "We don't have enough life guards today " I told her that children were getting hurt and she said "that isn't our responsibility that is on the parents ". While I agree that at a public venue parental supervision is necessary I also believe that the water park has a certain legal standard to meet when it comes to the safety of the children who visit. The manager was rude, hostile, and when I asked her name refused to give it to me. I asked who above her I could contact and I was told to contact City Hall. I mentioned that the adult slides had lifeguards and she laughed at me. When I asked for her name she told me she "didn't have to give that information out." I found another lifeguard and learned from them this manager's name was Bree. I will be reporting this to City Hall. Parents beware. They admit they don't have enough lifeguards to ensure the safety of visitors, and if your child is injured there may be no one to make an incident report to. This place needs to be visited by a safety inspector, or the fire Marshall. It should...

I would love to give this place 5 stars. I planned on doing so until the end of our day. First I want to say my kids love this place. I love that it is small enough to see all around to keep an eye on my children yet big enough for several activities for them. The woman working at the concession stand was so sweet and kind. I haven’t seen someone with such great customer service skills in a long time. Here is why I’m giving this place 1 star. The park closes at 6 so we left around 545. I normally bring my kids across the street to change them because the bathrooms are cleaner. Well we walked over there and both of them were out of order. So I told the kids we would just go change back in the bathrooms at the park. I saw a lady employee and said hey we just left but the bathrooms over there are closed so we just need to change real quick. She said well I need to see you stamp and I said I don’t have a stamp but I just left a couple minutes ago. She said yes I know but you didn’t tell me that you needed a stamp and I said well I didn’t know I would need one (keep in mind it’s already about 550 and they are about to close). So she said well where is your receipt. So while I’m looking for the receipt she is tapping her foot impatiently. I found it and then she said “oh you’re military” and I said yes. I have no idea why that mattered but her bad attitude changed almost immediately. Then after we left my 8 year old daughter told me that she pushed her and told her to “come on now.” I did hear her say that but I did not see her push her. Had I seen that I would’ve spoken to her supervisor immediately. Her attitude and putting her hands on my child are totally...
