I mountain bike here at least 2-3 times per week. Fantastic smooth, flowy single track. Beautiful wildflowers in the spring and early summer into July. Awesome views of the surrounding mountains, and sunsets are spectacular!
Another bonus โ never seems crowded. Last evening right after work, I had the whole place to myself it seemed.
The trail network is much bigger than one might initially think. They criss-cross the whiskey gulch and mountain side.
There are also some nice built up jumps and even a BMX pump track if you should desire to send it. ๐๐ผ
However, the trails are all easily rideable on a gravel bike.
The parking lots are large and gravel covered. Two main parking lots, one just west of Montana Tech University and the other off of Oro Fino Road to the north. Parking is free, no entrance fees.
