Don't expect much, but there is a little, free museum across from the tower. Nice people, loved the handwritten letter by one of the previous workers there!! Please contribute any way you can. You can go to the top of the tower and take pictures. Then you drive to the 2nd gate on the left, and park. You'll see a gated area with a walk through. Please respect the rules. .NO DRONES, and why would you walk on the salt that other people are going to eat?????? Respect wherever you go, even if it doesn't impact you. So tired of people breaking rules for their social media. So embarrassing, and this kind of behavior makes things become closed off to the public. Also...pick.up. your.trash!!!! Uugggghhh. It's not the place, it's the you and me's that disrespect...

It is worth it to see the gorgeous and unique water, but don't expect to do anything more than walk around for a few minutes admiring the water. There is no parking lot or bathrooms or any other kind of infrastructure either, you just have to park on the road and find the little path to walk in.
Also note that there are multiple little retaining pond areas, and some are pinker than others! It's worth it to walk around a little and see several from different angles, because from some angles they...
