This is a good place for an easy moderate hike. The trail seems to take you to a different place. As you start your hike, you begin to hear the creek that runs next to the trail.
We visited this location later in the afternoon on the weekend. It was cloudy with a light drizzle, and there was plenty of parking. So it might be much busier in the mornings during the weekends. There is a portapotty at the entrance.
It seems like people have been enjoying the sounds of the creek and the different birds for a millenia. Although the trail is mostly easy and well marked there, it does connect to other trails, so make sure to have a route planned out.
There was a lot poison oak, so stay on the trail, and be aware of that. At times, you feel like you've wandered into a world frozen in time. It's a good place. Enjoy the sounds of woodpeckers and hummingbirds darting bye, and to see flycatchers and bluejays chirps. Definatively a place to bring family and pets.
