I am a veteran. I served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps, and was looking to get a degree in Business Management from Davenport. I applied for VA money, which the VA certified I was eligible for. However, Davenport dragged their feet. They kept claiming to need more and more paperwork, which they kept losing. Eventually, they claimed I could no longer attend, because I owed them so much money, when the only money I owed was from VA money which they would have had if they had only submitted the paperwork on their end. Now, after having watched them lose my paperwork repeatedly, and refusing to certify me to the VA, they have sent my case to a debt collection agency who keeps charging more and more late payment fees to gouge money out of me. Thanks Davenport. Thanks for showing how little you care about veterans by extorting money out of them through...
Read moreI reached out to my academic advisor on Monday to register for classes. He got back to me on Wednesday asking about what courses I would like to take. I responded in less than an hour that any that counts towards my degree. I figured this would make it quick and easy. It's now Friday with no response and no classes registered. Now I don't know if I have to sit out this semester. I'm extremely frustrated at this point. No wonder they have a 28% graduation rate. No student support. I will be looking to transfer to a different school. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I also use the GI bill for extra income as my current job doesn't pay well yet. If I'm not going to school, I have to work a bunch of overtime to make up for it. That's time spent away from my family. At least with school work I can...
Read moreI plan on transferring here to finish my MBA and so far the institute has been awesome, very helpful and informative. One of a few schools if you meet undergrad GPA requirements (3.4+) for their program you can skip the GMAT and gain entry into their program. Extremely fair cost of attendance @ roughly $570 per credit hour. Look forward to continuing this relationship! Oh and @ Nicole Marriott are you really leaving a poor review because you signed up for college and agreed to pay for it and are being held accountable for your debt? Seriously? If you sign up at any institute, private or public, once you sign the paper you are held accountable for the debt you enter. What is wrong with people these days? Nicole grow up and take responsibility for...
