The views are beautiful and the service is nice if you are white or a dog. It seemed straight out of a movie. We were there 1.5 hours and did not receive water. We asked for water twice while seated for our tasting. Given how hot it was, we finally went up and very politely asked if we could have water and were told, verbatim: โ€œif we can get to it, we will bring you water.โ€ That alone if they were busy could be okay, though I would have preferred it to be said in kinder words. However, the following things happened to our neighboring tasters: (1) One group was sipping on their wine enjoying and twice were asked, โ€œwould you like water?โ€ To which one time they said yes and one time they did not need a refill. (2) One group had the cutest dogs for which the servers not only found time to bring water to once but multiple times throughout our visit. There were other things that happened during the visit that werenโ€™t great but it reminded of us a movie scene where a sign said โ€œno Mexicans, no dogsโ€ and ultimately they had to update the sign because dogs were soon allowed. Bitter humor but it really reminded us of that especially considering we were the only group with people of color....

My wife and I visited Napa Valley for our Honeymoon. There was a day where we were not sure which winery we wanted to go to, and we couldn't be happier that we stumbled across Foley Johnson Winery! Out of all the wineries we visited across Napa Valley, this one was by far our absolute favorite. The casual feel and enthusiasm of the staff made for a great change of pace. I will be recommending it to anyone I know that is visiting the area. During our visit we had to pleasure of spending the day with Phil. His knowledge of Foley Johnson, their wines, and the area in general is awesome. He was able to explain everything to us in great detail, and even let us see some of the behind the scenes production that all takes place onsite! Phil is the man, and I would highly recommend stopping by and paying him a visit the first chance you get! We signed up to become members and shipped wine back home because it was the best we had throughout our trip. The wine across the board was fantastic. Our visit to Foley Johnson made our Honeymoon, and I recommend anyone who is in the area, visiting, or just happens to drive by to...

My husband and I were in Napa last weekend celebrating 10 years together and made the spontaneous decision to check out Foley Johnson Winery. Thanks to a stellar recommendation from their neighbors at Sequoia Grove after our tasting there, we headed Foley Johnson's way. Walking up to the winery was so lovely, especially with the fall foliage all around. They grow a lot (if not most) of their grapes on property, which I thought was pretty cool. Every wine we tried was very good! The reds were my fav!

The service here is one to mention. They took us as a walk in and still treated us with the same care as someone who made reservations months ago. Our host, Tyson, was super cool to talk to, especially with his extensive knowledge of wine and the Napa Valley region. The customer service he provided to us and other guests around us was superb. He did a great job at balancing all of us without making people feel shorted of time or info...

We had a fabulous experience at this winery! We popped in without an appointment. My husband happened to be wearing a Golden Knights hat (Go Knights,Go! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ†) and all of a sudden we were treated like royalty. We got to taste the most incredible wines and had a wonderful experience with Kevin. He was able to explain the history of the Foley Johnson winery. He explained the deep commitment that Mr. Foley has to winemaking. We know his deep commitment to hockey, but this was a new enlightenment for us! We joined the club and by doing so are also now affiliated with multiple other partners in the Napa Valley with exceptional wines . If you are from Vegas, definitely recommend visiting . If youโ€™re from anywhere else in the world definitely go visit because they have outstanding wines and fabulous hospitality.

We set up a private tasting of FJ Handmade Cabernets. Our first impression of the beautiful setting was interrupted by a large loud party bus crowd that descended upon the tasting room making it hard to hear ourselves think. Sadly too, the host habitually said no more than needed, almost to the level of taciturn unsociability. We offered our brief impressions of the wines (which were wonderful!) without so much as a response. Strange. Suggest directing large loud parties to a separate room or area as the tasting room is too small to handle big crowds. Also, figure out how to get your people more engaged. Suspect you will sell more wine as a result.
