The best winery throughout Napa hands down. I can’t thank you all enough. I proposed to my fiancé at Peju winery. A big shout out to Kaitlyn, peju’s event coordinator. Before setting my mind on Peju, I called many other wineries to see what they have to offer in terms of a proposal package. Kaitlyn was absolutely amazing to talk to. She was very personable, willing to do whatever it takes to make the day perfect, and best of all, she was cared throughout the process. The rest of the event coordinators at other wineries that I spoke to didn’t feel as reassuring. This is my only shot at a proposal, so of course, I want a coordinator that’s all in, and I must say, the proposal day turned out perfect. I spoke to Kaitlyn over the phone at least 10 times with a million emails to talk logistics, winery layout, where to do it exactly, and what I needed. The package didn’t come with red rose pedals and I asked Kaitlyn if it wasn’t too much to get that and she made that happen too!
Thank you to Debby, Joey, and Sasha. You 3 deserve a call out too. Although you all were in on it, the fiancé had no idea. We both loved joey’s conversation, personality, and attentiveness during our wine tasting. Debby for making it feel very welcoming and made sure we were having the best experience. Ane Sasha for playing it cool as you were giving us the tour and eventually to the koi pond. Thank you!
With that being said, the fiancé and I went to many other wineries throughout our stay in Napa and Peju winery is our absolute favorite. Not even because we got engaged there but because they had the best people. Everyone is so personable, nice, fun, and willing to ensure you have the best time there. Like the other big wineries in the area, you will quickly feel like another person to them. Not to mention, the fiancé and I wanted to ship a few bottles home but decided to not buy any bottles until we go through all the wineries until the last day in Napa. So we went 4 different wineries and tasted 20+ wines. We had the same number 1, and it was a wine from Peju. It’s one of their reserved wines called fifty / fifty (50% cab 50% merlot). Again, thanks to Joey in particular for paying attention to what we liked most from the classic wines we signed up for. He noticed we liked cab and merlot so he was nice enough to let us try the reserved wines for free, and it turned out to be our absolute favorite. I can’t stop thinking about it. So the fiancé and I decided to buy 2 bottles!
So if you want amazing and tasteful wines, the best people, and beautiful landscape, this is the...
Read moreThe wine was great, but the servers were extremely rude. We overhead multiple servers making fun of guests, my wife would ask about the history on the wine /with questions and she would only give me as the husband eye contact witch really upset our tasting venture. We had six tables with 1 server which gave absolutely no time to discuss where the wine came from how they do it and the history which makes wine tasting great The whole point not to go to BevMo and go to Napa Valley is for the experience customer service and history on the winery which makes a great experience for tasting and on a sidenote the servers do not explain the wine well and their menu doesn’t show anything on the taste/aromas like all other wineries. Menu definitely needs to be upgraded instead of price and name of wine to what the wine includes with the flavor .Extremely disappointed, especially given the price point. Explore other options in Napa! You won’t be disappointed.I hate doing a post like this but 1 bad day for a company after COVID-19 could really effect business for the long haul. Everyone is traveling since there was nothing to do for the past year so customer service and the experience is definitely a part of the business and important I hope the management team sees this to improve.sorry for the review but you guys have a beautiful winery that has amazing potential but the servers are absolutely horrible. Even though the service was horrible and communication was lacking due to workers I still bought expensive bottle of wine to invest into the business I do not want a beautiful winery to suffer because of the customer service and the wine tasting atmosphere I would hope that the management reads this and takes it seriously.go California/#napa 🙏. I sent email to customer service for the winery and my email was blocked for a communication to them after I requested the proper email so I could get a hold of management I attached the email below extremely disappointed that there was no one to talk to to...
Read moreDisgusting. There were fruit flies in the wine we were served from the bottle. We were then given to believe this was normal and couldn't be helped, which I take as an intellectual insult. We have visited the wineries of Napa valley several times, and have never had an experience like this one. The three wines we tasted were nothing to write home about, but the presence of insects in the wine suggests it may not have been properly stored/decanted. I'm no wine expert, but something is definately wrong here.
The facilities were nice, especially the decor of the outdoor space.
EDIT: I appreciate the response from management, and what looks to be a genuine effort to make it right. However, I DO NOT APPRECIATE their insistence that serving fruit flies from a bottle is somehow normal or acceptable. It is not. Here’s why:
Quality Control: Wine with insects in the bottle may indicate a problem with storage, bottling, or hygiene standards. Professional establishments are expected to ensure that all wines served are of the highest quality and free from contaminants.
Presentation and Etiquette: Wine tasting events emphasize presentation and attention to detail. Pouring wine with visible flaws, such as insects, goes against the standards of such events.
Fruit flies can significantly affect the taste of wine because they carry an enzyme called esterase, which can alter the wine's aromatic compounds.
Health Concerns: While most insects are not harmful if consumed accidentally, their presence in wine could pose a potential health risk or cause discomfort for guests.
*To the Management: We accept your apology and I will add a star for your genuine response, but you really should do something to fix...
