Very few times has a winery or any location has persuaded me to leave a review but Sequoia Grove definitely left a last impression on me! Myself and my fiancé decided to check this winery out, because my husbands friend raves about this place so we figure why not. Immediately we were greeted by a warm smile from Patty who was so kind and welcoming. Because of the weather Saturday everything was inside so we were standing at the bar unfortunately but are host or I should say hosts were amazing!! Me being new into wine I never quite understand it all while my fiancé is a wino himself, but Fernando made it so simple for me to understand by answering all my dumb & simple questions but also reassuring me that when it comes to wine there’s no bad questions! We also got a visit from Kenny who was also a ball of fun him and Fernando seemed almost like brothers but both made this tasting so much fun for us!! So overall my experience was almost perfect from the family winery feel, to the smiles and laughs we had with our hosts, to the amazing wine especially the Cambium, or should I say Cambi-yum!! I will definitely be coming back not just for the wine but for the dynamic duo...
Read moreI recently visited the winery for a tasting, and I have to say the service was excellent—friendly, attentive staff and beautiful scenery made for a pleasant experience overall. Unfortunately, the wine just didn’t suit my palate. I’m an avid red wine drinker, but I found the selections here to be some of the most acidic reds I’ve ever tried.
I truly appreciated the hospitality—our server was kind enough to offer a few extra tastings—but I struggled to find one that I genuinely enjoyed. At $60 for the tasting, I did drink them all, but none stood out to me, even among the higher-tier pours. The acidity was a bit much for me and even left my stomach a little upset.
To be fair, everyone has different preferences, and I’m sure their wines appeal to many. This just wasn’t the right fit for my taste. That said, the staff and atmosphere were lovely, and I respect the effort they put into the experience but not recommended if you are sensitive...
Read moreWe have been coming to Sequoia Grove for about 15 years. We’ve been members many times, and just recently rejoined. the service here is impeccable. Staff is extremely friendly and willing to go beyond helping you and accommodating you to enjoy your stay at the winery. Their Cabernet Sauvignons are some of the best in the Napa Valley. Consistent quality, aroma and flavor. This has always been my favorite winery to visit while we are up in Napa. The wine is also very affordable. You owe it to yourself to visit Sequoia Grove you will not be disappointed.
Update; We tasted today at SG and as always the wines are exceptional. We had the Bits to go along with the tasting. Great food bits to pair with the wines. Vicki and Tom hosted us, two of my favorites here at SG.. Known them for about 15 years. Anyway you owe it to yourself and friends to go and taste. You will not be...
