My teenage son loves military aircraft so we visit a lot of air museums. We live in Seattle and visit the Museum of Flight often so I'm not easily impressed with the other museums. This one has some unique aircraft with fun history - a jet from Topgun, another from an episode of JAG, Robin Olds' plane from Vietnam, and one of the two first responders to 9-11. They aren't in tiptop condition, but it's a small museum with limited funding so I wasn't expecting that. What we did find was an F/A-18 simulator my son loved. The docent who helped him with it was great, and very patient. And while he waited to pay for his purchase in the giftshop, the docent took him over to show some aircraft that weren't on display. I wish I had had more cash on me to make a better donation, they definitely deserved more than I gave. We will visit this one again on another trip...

My boys (5 and 10-years old) are HUGE airplane enthusiasts. I wanted to try something new as we have already been to the California Aerospace Museum, Castle Air Museum, and the Oakland Aviation Museum. I must say now that this is an awesome little place with a great collection of aircraft. The day we arrived there were actually only two staff on site: someone at the cashier's desk for the gift shop and another gentleman outside tending to the aircraft on display. Despite this, we had an amazing tour and the customer service was A+++. The volunteer who provided our tour (I can't remember his name at the moment) was so engaging and provided us with lots of aircraft history. We even had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of one of the planes. We sincerely enjoyed ourselves. The Pacific Coast Air Museum is...

Great location and great educational venue!! Thank you to our volunteers and staff at the Pacific Coast Air Museum! We absolutely appreciate your time and service to our community and educational resources for a close up and detailed insight to our mechanical developments over our country's history. It's exciting to learn how we have national relics stored on site in our community and actual vessels used in cinematic pieces. To everyone interested in visiting, there is so much to learn and appreciate. Please take notes on the plaques available and please appreciate these gifts while they are still present and donated to our community. I will absolutely...

Great Place with Excellent Volunteers! We went on a morning that was a little rainy, but not when we were there, so we had the whole place and knowledgeable volunteers to ourselves. Walked in not knowing much about planes, but left with more knowledge and a great appreciation. I just wish I could've thought of more questions for the volunteers that had all the answers. They also have a flight simulator that looked fun ($10 for 20 minutes), but no one on site could operate it, so we intended to return later that day, but didn't make it back. Mostly outdoors, but some impressive indoor displays too.

It’s a decent aviation museum with not too many airplane displays. Besides, there's no intro or plane info, so you don’t know what you’re looking at unless you know your planes. The place is not organized since there was also a car show when I was there. The place could be a bit crowded that even taking pictures alone with the planes could be difficult. Planes are well-maintained, though. A friendly place for adults and kids.
