First let me say that this llace is wonderful. All of the staff and volunteers were so knowledgeable, and we learned to much about different animals, it was amazing. I do feel it pertinent to mention that the majority of staff were overly friendly and considerate, and while the leader was very knowledgeable and very kind to the animals, she was extremely rude to the staff amd customers. I understand you have concerns about safety, and those comments were understood, but the belittling comments to staff and customers about things that were not safety related were uncalled for and made for an uncomfortable environment. Then while snapping at everyone else to be quiet, she sat right behind me in her gf cart and talked through the whole 1st bear exhibit so I couldnt hear anything they said. Aparently the rules on apply to some and not others. Dont let thos deter you from going, it was a wonderful experience, as long as you disregard the snide comments and make sure your kids dont get...
Read moreSo let me be clear, I have not visited this location. I was intending to do so when I was scrolling through Groupon looking for things to do for an upcoming trip! I came across this and showed my partner and we got really excited. I purchased the Groupon and went to schedule it, but it said they weren't doing online reservations and to call. So I did so and a lady answered the phone all sweet and I just said "Hi I found you guys on Groupon and-" and I was trying to finish my sentence but she cut me off and she said, "oh we aren't accepting those they're selling them illegally and I have to go, I have an emergency" and then just left... It was very off-putting. I would have gladly returned the Groupon and bought directly from them if she would have just talked to me. Now maybe she really did have an emergency but I sensed that she really didn't want to deal with me. I am very bummed because this would have been a really...
Read moreMy husband & I are great animal lovers & were thrilled to make time in our busy schedules to finally visit the ranch. To be able to see animals of this calibur at a 3 ft. distance was in a word, AWESOME! Intimate, unlike a zoo, you can see the love the caretakers have for their precious boarders. Lexus the bobcat gave us quite a show with a quail . . . tossing, pouncing & tail twitching. We were serenaded by coyotes. Little Bear & Meisha (California black bears) sat directly at the fenceline to be admired in performance. A majestic sight were the eagles . . . the bald eagle, the symbol of our country, up close & personal actually made my heart beat faster! Mule deer & racoons rounded out our tour. ALL this a mere $10.00 for adults & $5.00 for children . . . nearly the price of a movie ticket for REAL "entertainment." Don't miss Wildhaven Ranch next time you're in Lake Arrowhead or the surrounding area . . . worth...
