What a cool find. I absolutely loved walking through the family of trees at the back of the property by the road. They are so beautiful & I could feel their fabulous energy. I logged 1.5 miles by walking the perimeter & snaking through just a bit. Also, I really enjoyed my calm weekday watching the planes & helicopters, eating lunch, & reading a book in the peace. One thing I will advise, definitely do not wash your vehicle right before coming here like I did. My vehicle was covered in dust. Last thing, the animal shelter is nearby so you will hear barking but I will take that over annoying people anyday. Those happy mature pups are simply calling you to come visit & say hi. You just might find fur baby love when you come to Freedom Park!

Freedom Dog Park Review: Camarillo’s newest dog park is a cool drink on a hot summer day. Shaded with lots of green grass the two English creme retrievers I ran into with their owners were feeling no pain. The park is totally fenced with double gates-kinda of dog Alcatraz- no one can get away! Amenities include benches, picnic tables, dog water fountains and pet waste bags. Best of all, it’s new and off the beaten path so if you need to take your dog to a less frequented place, this is it! Good job, Camarillo, for considering your canine population’s needs!

The BMX track & team were awesome! My son’s 1st time at a track and just learned to ride a bike. They took great care of him and gave him a lot of help till he could go on his own. Great experience and he’s super excited to hit the track again next weekend! Thank you Freedom Park track employees and volunteers, you made the experience a positive and fun time for my 7yo.

During a recent visit to Freedom Park, I noticed several issues in the men’s restroom facilities at Freedom Park that not only compromise sanitation but also create a potentially unsafe and uncomfortable environment for visitors.

Inoperable Toilets with Stagnant Water: Several of the toilets were not functioning, resulting in stagnant water accumulating in the bowls. This is not only unsanitary but could also become a breeding ground for harmful bacteria and unpleasant odors, creating an unhealthy atmosphere for park goers. Lack of Stall Doors: The absence of doors on restroom stalls raises significant privacy concerns, especially as many children also use these facilities. The lack of privacy may discourage individuals from using the restrooms, potentially leading to further discomfort and inconvenience.

These conditions detract from the otherwise enjoyable experience Freedom Park offers and may pose health and safety risks to the community. As Freedom Park is a beloved public space frequented by families and individuals of all ages, it is imperative that the restroom facilities meet basic cleanliness and safety standards. I kindly urge the Parks Staff to address these issues...
