This was my first and last time shopping with Loft. I placed an order on Friday, October 24th for an in-store pickup. It was late in the day, so I didn't expect an e-mail saying it was ready for pickup, but then Saturday came with no e-mail. On Sunday, October 26th, I visited the store to ask about the item I ordered. The woman at the register said it was cancelled because they didn't have it. I asked why I didn't receive a cancellation e-mail and why the charges were still pending on my credit card. Nothing was adding up.
She went out back to check and sure enough, the shirt was there. She brought it out, but because they "cancelled" my order, I was going to have to pay for it again. I was super confused and despite needing the shirt for the event, I opted not to pay twice and left it at the store.
This morning, I get an e-mail stating my item was ready for pickup. WHAT!? This order was supposedly cancelled. I called Loft customer service, went in circles with them because they told me they could not cancel it on their end. They called the store and eventually the store had to cancel it on their end in order for me to get a refund....but wasn't it already cancelled? Apparently not.
