$10 to park in the parking lot of this beach. I consider it well worth it. The parking pass will give you access for the day to multiple beaches too, so you could do one in the morning and then another in the afternoon. And so forth!
There is a restroom and outdoor showers. The showers don't let out a lot of water so it takes a while to rinse off. The restroom and shower area is pretty busy.
The surf is fairly calm, but there are some spots on the south end for beginner boogie boarding.
The water is also pretty warm compared to other beaches.
One thing about the water is that it brings in a ton of sea weed and wood so it's pretty murky and a bit unsettling to be surrounded by all that stuff!
There is lots of driftwood to build forts.
There is room to fly kites too.
I would say it was medium crowded (it was a Saturday). There were lots of people but enough beach for everyone to stake out their own spots.
If you walk further South enough towards the next beach, then you should be able to find the statue of a bronze hand. I really wanted to find it but I couldn't swing it with all my toddlers.
Bring your own snacks m but please remember to leave it clean...

Surf fishing is a fun thing to do and there is a great campground above the beach. There is a large parking lot and restrooms close...
