Have been a member of this church for approximately 15 years, and thank God for it each and every day. The misinformed lady who calls it "McChurch" or "Church Lite" is likely basing that on pre-conceived notions and possibly attending the church once or twice. This is a church that truly tries to walk the walk of bringing sinners to a closer relationship with God, while serving as hands and feet in ministries throughout the world.
To say the lead pastor has no training is simply untrue and ridiculous. Yes, he has a business background, but also obviously substantial background in seminary and ministerial training. To say that a person with a business background can't be a great preacher with extensive theological training is akin to saying that somebody who runs a funeral home couldn't possibly know what it is to LIVE,....just silly and irrelevant.
If you want a church that serves the community,...preaches biblical teachings WITHOUT APOLOGY,...accepts and loves people for who they are while not condoning unbiblical behavior,....serves those of any race, economic status, or background,....and is filled with those seeking Christ who love to laugh, learn, cry, and work together,.....I cannot suggest Northview Church more highly.
It's a place not of perfection or perfect people, but rather a church of broken sinners striving to find integrity in their lives and a closer walk with Christ. I am proud and humbled at the same time to have found this place as my...
Read moreI need to jump in after reading a previous review. We've attended since 2001, and yes, a lot has changed in that time, especially with the new campuses across central Indiana. But one thing you must always decide for yourself when searching for a church home, is whether it's Christ-centered. Northview absolutely, and without question, is. In time, will you agree with every person, every decision made and every direction taken by the church? No...and that's life, get used to it. But Northview's fundamentals are as solid as ever... it's all about Jesus, and the lives He expects us to live. There are so many opportunities for service and growth there, and you won't be bored, trust me. One thing that's improved dramatically during the weekly messages from Steve and others, is teaching directly from scripture throughout. Peoples' crazy lives do interfere with attending Bible fellowships during the week, although they are offered in great quantity. Bible-based teaching is so important, as Christians grow and their faith deepens and matures beyond the emotional, teary-eyed visceral experiences when they were new. So it points to what fundamentally drives Northview...Jesus, Bible teaching, faith, fellowship, service. Thousands have discovered exactly that at Northview. If it's a good fit, welcome! If not then keep searching, with a Bible-based, Christ-centered focus at the very top of your decision criteria for a...
Read moreI love Jesus Christ and I love my church!!! I would give Northview Church - Carmel an “infinity out of infinity” star review if Google allowed us to do so. They have a great welcoming environment with friendly people everywhere, who attend this campus. I’m also a fan of their youth programs, the book store, and the optionality on which sermons you can attend throughout the week (if Sunday cannot work for you). Lastly, pastor Steve was my all time favorite pastor, and I can’t thank him enough for leading me back to the right path, back in 2015!!!! Pastor CJ has done a more than exceptional job coming in for us upon Steve’s retirement. Moral of the story, the pastors have an incredible capability of preaching and making everything make sense in a simplistic way. Come sit it in for a couple sermons and I believe you will have found your new home church here at the Carmel campus. Thank you for everything, Northview!!!! In Jesus’s...
