Fun water park for little ones. Sits with 4 play area options. Water portion sits in bigger kid area including slides, swings, low height zip lines and climbing units. Behind this area is 2 parks for smaller kids - 1 for toddlers and the 2nd for 3-5 year olds. Last area is in the very back with climbing unit and plenty of sand to play in. Would recommend for 4 and up. Water park is an open area with benches on one side. Includes oversized balls to climb on, water cannons and fountains. Was turned off on 6/23/19. Signs stated repairs were required on the kid friendly matting for the floor. Since today was in the 80s and nothing posted online for closure, there was a lot of unhappy families today. Felt bad for the 3 birthday parties with no water play. We come regularly during the summer and this is the 4th generation to...

My kids love this park and we do play here often, however it is admittedly not my favorite. There are 4 separate play structures/areas and a couple of grassy areas, which gives kids lots of options, but without a clear line of sight between all of them, it is a challenge for parents. The 4 play structures are arranged in an L-shape around the community theater building, blocking visibility. And the open grassy areas above and below the play structures are visually separated by bushes, trees, etc. It does have a splash pad, which is a huge plus during the summer, although we'd love to see it on more frequently during the week. And the final downside of this park, is that the restrooms are down by the baseball field, which is a bit of a trek (especially for...

I went to the Chanticleer's Theater picnic and had a fabulous time. I met people that I had never seen before and others that I had only seen at the theater.

Volunteers took us on a tour of the theater so we could see what goes on behind the scenes. The Castro Valley Veterans Memorial is right across the parking lot. It's a beautiful tribute to our veterans.

There was a huge birthday party going on in the site next to us. Some of the kids were playing out on the lawn. Others were blowing big bubbles with fun bubble equipment. The adults were also having a good time.

All in all, everyone had a marvelous time at the...

Great Park. Very clean and well maintained. Has three different playsets for different age groups, multiple sets of swings. Has a water fountain area for the children. Medium size parking lot with street parking also, community center with bathrooms. Baseball, soccer fields adjacent. There is a veterans memorial as well for cultural value. There is also a community theater on site with Chanticleer signage. Plenty of shade which you don't always find in parks. Highly recommend.

I liked this park. We come to these tennis courts to play. Free entrance. There are drinking bowls for pets. There is also a playground. And a field where you can play football or frisbee. I recommend it to everyone! Great place. There is also a basketball court. Someone is always playing there. Great place! I think that if there is a big holiday, there will not be enough parking spaces. Because on normal days there is almost a full parking lot.
