Big disappointment. I've been having problem with difficulty breathing due to acid reflux. From my own research and my PCP, I am certain the breathing issue is due to acid reflux or GERD. After the symptom persisting for more than 3 weeks I finally went to see this GI doctor, Dr. Ko. He told me that the breathing problem is not caused by acid reflux without doing any check ups at all. I guess he read my medical record from my ER visit showing no problem anywhere. I asked him why then it's happening. He didn't know. He suggested that I go see a lung doctor "next time" it happens. The key to medical care is to "prevent", not wait till it happens again. When I have trouble breathing it feels like I can die right there. It is a horrifying experience. And here is a medical professional whose job is to help the patient suggesting that I go see a lung doctor when it happens again. He spent 3 minutes with me. This is the sad reality of our current medical care system. Doctors are not "healers" anymore. All they care about is moving on to the next patient and bill the insurance...

Although I've seen Dr Ko for several years, this was the first time my colonoscopy was performed in his new Endoscopy Center. From the time I arrived, it was clear that he had a wonderful staff and that they were highly organized and knew what they were doing. Total professionals but with warm and friendly demeanors. Diane, Nurse Anaesthetist, was great and happy to answer all my questions. The facility is very up to date and clean. A very welcoming environment. And, of course, Dr. Ko was wonderful. I did the colonscopy scheduled to 8.30am Monday. Everything so smooth. Followed the instructions the day before to finish 3/4 gallon of the solution and 4am to finish the rest 1/4 to clean the body. We arrived exactly 8.30am to check in and nurses brought me inside to exchange clothes. Pushed into the room to be greeted by doctor to start the exam. Like a nap for 30mins and came back... It's so so painless. Definitely 5 or 5 customer rating. Thank you Dr. Ko and your support...
