Review strictly on experience with arena and not any of the hockey events/ concerts Although it is nice to have a place for events and is definitely small enough to enjoy from any seat bought but... there is much room for improvement. I do understand the premiums that come with liquor and food but is a bit excessive for what it is. Be prepared to drop some serious money on "refreshments". Parking can get out of control very quickly and is VERY expensive (sometimes starting at about $40+). Staff can definitely improve on being informative and helpful from beginning to end and not just trying to push you out the arena as soon as an event ends. I had some very excellent staff but the majority, unfortunately, overshadows the good ones. My biggest complaint and red flag is that this place is NOT very handicap/accessible friendly... at all! One small section section for wheelchairs in entire arena, one elevator and not enough access friendly ramps. Staff is not very helpful when asking for handicap/accessible options. After the end of a recent event, I had to wait for my caregiver to bring back my wheelchair from being stored in the opposite end of the arena and the only side with an elevator to exit out. The staff was pushing everyone out to get out because they were "closed" and we had to leave. I was waiting at my chair when staff started asking me to go UP THE STAIRS and exit while my caregiver was across from me on the other end with my wheelchair and was being denied acces to me because they had "cleared the ramp" and "roped off" the side where the only elevator exit was. I was fortunate to have security staff step in and help me onto my chair and access the elevator. This was not a good look for the Acrisure staff! As a person that is physically limited, I have had more success at smaller venues with helping those who want to be able experience just as much as those without limitations. That being said, very nice building for local events but do keep in mind some of the downsides if you will be attending an event here. Acrisure, do better because as your guests, handicap or not, we deserve to be treated with dignity...
Read moreWent to go see Peter Gabriel at this venue. The parking lot charges $50 bucks for parking which is very ridiculous. Luckily, we’ve prepaid which is half of that price. My only gripe I have of this place is the floor seating. The seats are very narrow and definitely not suitable for a big person. It’s basically foldable steel chairs conjoined to the seats which doesn’t provide any spacing between chairs and not having enough leg room to sit comfortably. Heck, the seat at the end of the each row was its own independent chair. Why can’t all the chairs be like that? Everyone was packed in like sardines that I had a very uncomfortable experience and it was breaking my focus to enjoy the concert. The space between each row was not big enough which was a hassle just so you can step out of your seats. I basically had to twist my body in an angle in order to accommodate so I can leave room for my partner who is a big guy. Felt like I was riding a packed subway train. Depending on the show, I’m assuming since Palm Springs has a majority of older folks living there that they are not willing to remain standing up. My partner at one point wanted to get up and dance and someone behind him was shouting to sit down because she can’t see and she went as far as poking him hard at the back. I’m guessing people forget why they come to concerts in the first place, even as far as knowing what you are expecting when you paid for those tickets.
My request for Acrisure Arena is please invest in wider chairs especially for concert goers who are not always petite. Also, don’t conjoin them. Just loose them up so I don’t have to be touching a stranger’s lap. Please more leg room between rows. I feel like for the price of being closer to the main act, I would expect to be sitting in very comfortable chairs away from...
Read moreThis was our 2nd time attending an event at Acrisure. Both times we were not impressed. Had VIP package for Sting concert, supposedly with free drinks, free gifts, VIP parking, VIP lounge and all nine yards. Yeah, right!!
First, it's all open-air parking, no valet, so if it's 120 degrees outside, by the time you come back, your seats are melting already. No signs for VIP entrance, so we have no clue where to get our VIP badges and all the other goodies. Walked inside for about 100 yards until we found the first usher, however, she didn't even know that they have a VIP lounge, so no help. Another usher sent us to the other side of the building, probably just to get rid of us, after three more ushers we finally found a supervisor, who told us to go back and then all the way upstairs to a different floor.
The lounge itself had no VIP ambiance, just a tiny balcony over an ice ring area with a black cloth curtain (for privacy or embarrassment???), that you could easily confuse with a homeless camping site. There were a couple of old tables and half-broken chairs, no food, no snacks, just one small make-shift bar with a very limited selection of drinks and a long line of "VIP" patrons who were also tricked into paying higher prices for this mockery of VIP service.
Concert seating was not the most comfortable either, just some folding chairs that make your benihd go numb in 20 minutes. Good thing Sting was awesome so we spent of our time standing rather than sitting.
Leaving the venue was OK, the road was crowded, to be expected, so if you can, wait for 20 minutes before starting driving, will make your life less stressful.
Overall, very disorganized, doesn't cater to VIP visitors, save money, don't buy VIP packages, not worth it. Front bleachers had just as good of a view for 1/3...
