Really love this place. They have signs up that encourage you to throw the landscape rocks. I grew up very poor in South Carolina (heck, I'm still poor) and throwing landscape rocks was a big thing there: what else do you do? Here in Utah most people frown on it. So I was delighted when I came here with my son for his birthday and saw all the "Please throw the landscape rocks!" signs. You can tell it's a ritzy neighborhood so I'm surprised that they are so chill about throwing landscape rocks, rich people are usually super paranoid about that kind of stuff. I have family coming in from South Carolina in August and we were going to do a big reunion in American Fork Canyon. You know, grill a whole pig, people who want to smoke have a place to do it for once without being judged, etc. But now I'm thinking I will schedule it here because if my family loves doing anything it's throwing landscape rocks all...

It's not a very big park, so the space is limited, and since it's on a mountain you don't have a lot of flat areas to play things like football on. But the positives are a big plus and outweigh the space and terrain limitations depending on what you are looking for. They also have a nice covered picnic area that is great for eating...
Read moreThis is a medium size community park located above a subdivision on the east bench of Cedar Hills. The grass areas are sloped and there is also a large grass bowl area (amphitheatre style) so it's not ideal for a soccer field, but it's great for many other things, like snow sledding after it snows and we enjoy snow shoeing around the park. The park has amazing views, a basketball court, a 3 story kids play area, several different covered picnic areas, restrooms, lots of concrete paths and sitting areas around the park, and several more up the hill above the park. It's definately a local park worth...
