Had my wedding here in 2024. We paid the deposit and then the rest of the venue cost in full. The day before my wedding, someone drove their car through the western town portion of the park, and destroyed the fence, and multiple buildings. When I arrived that night for my rehearsal dinner, we saw all the wreckage and asked what was going on (because we were never notified) they explained what happened and promised it would be cleaned up by the next afternoon when my wedding was. I said okay and agreed as I knew it wasn’t the venues fault someone drove their car through it but they promised it would get cleaned up so I wasn’t having my wedding in a mess. I show up the next day for the wedding, and to my surprise, nothing was cleaned up at all. There were nails, broken pieces of wood, a broken toilet and glass everywhere on the ground still. I tried to contact the person I was talking with to see what was going on, no response. She never called me back at all. With no other option, we continued with our ceremony and just had to warn our guests of the hazards. After all that’s said and done, we hired a cleaning company to come in after us and clean the chapel and the hall that we had the reception in. It was left in better Shape than we got it. We waited a few weeks to hear from anyone here on how we would be getting our deposit back, and never did. Finally, I reached out and sent an email, and never got a response. I tried to call multiple times and I left messages and was told that who I needed to speak too was “out of the office”. After months and never hearing back from ANYONE. I went down to pioneer town and asked to speak to who I needed to about getting my deposit back because the place was left spotless AND I was promised the mess and safety hazard was going to be cleaned up by my wedding and it wasn’t and I was again told “she’s not here.” And I said , I will wait. And they told me I wasn’t allowed to wait and that someone would contact me. I eventually brought it to the board of trustees of pioneer town because it had been almost a year of no response and no deposit back, and they agreed that they would issue the deposit back and that was in December of 2024. It is now August 2025 and still to this day, I never received my deposit OR any correspondence from anyone to get it to me. I will never recommend anyone to use this place for any event as they do not stick to their word and have the worst communication skills I have ever...
Read moreIt is such a fun place that has several different buildings you can explore that give you a glimpse of historic times. We really enjoyed seeing the silos, ringing the school bell, and the arrowhead displays. There's a house full of dolls, a saloon, cabin, main street, visitor's center, and more. We went on a rainy Saturday before Christmas, and the ladies on staff (as well as Chico, the dog) were so friendly and inviting. We had the place to ourselves, and it was very reasonably priced. I recommend stopping in when you are in the area and taking the self guided tour of...
Read moreThis looks like a great place unfortunately it's not posted that it, along with the Visitors Center, is Closed during the Winter. I love getting information when I visit a new place and did not see any information anywhere telling the public they are closed. That includes the info I picked up at the airport about local Visitors Centers. I cannot fault them on the facilities since I never got to go through them. I did read that the Museum located there has one of the best arrowhead collections in the West; I'll have to take their...
