We wanted to get a quick hike in before the evening rains so we headed to Parker Jordan Open Space for a quick 1.9 mile hike around the park. #dogfriendlyhikes ##dogsoftiktok #centennial #coloradohikes #jordanparker

Great place to take a walk. The trail goes for miles and miles in either direction with plenty of creek crossings to let "Fido" cool off. Or, if you have kids, the water is clean and shallow, so they can splash away hot summer days. The paved trail is multi use: walkers, bicycle riders, joggers, roller bladers and more. Most people are friendly and polite, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. There are also side trails, little places to grab some alone time, such as the Tranquility Trail, giant compass and little amphitheater. My only complaint is that the diversity of trees is limited. There are cottonwood trees everywhere, but no aspens, no oaks, ashes or anything else. A few evergreens dot the trail in certain parts, but not enough to offset the lack of anything else. All in all, though, its a great place to get away.

So beautiful...wonderful trail. However, I only offer 3 stars because when I was on my way back to my car my phone rang. So( I was standing still at this point) I unzipped my pocket reached in to get my phone ,almost dropped the phone . At this point There was a white guy with a red hat and his dog walking towards me.. again I'm standing still trying to answer the phone ..this guy wouldn't move . I finally answer the phone and move over . Then the white man starts yelling at me to move . My family was just telling me I need to be careful out there . Its because of people like that , who think they are privileged. But they and are not, actually they are less fortunate. So beware of white men !!

I changed for a 4 to a 2 star because I'm getting sick of bikers passing from behind without warning on the narrow dirt loop while I'm walking my dog. They are going to end up hurting someone or their animal.

Also, why are you guys insisting on riding so fast on the narrow dirt sections when there are miles of nice wide paved trials?

Changed from a 2 to a 1 star because people keep leaving their poop bags on the trail. I've seen them like 100 feet from the trash can.

Why do you even bother to bag it if you aren't going to throw it away? You are just littering...
