Central City Convention Center — Attraction in Central City

NOT LGBT FRIENDLY. This is my second time trying a membership here. The first time they cancelled my membership because I didn't have all the birth certs to my kids and my marriage certificate due to the reason we bought the house here moving from Illinois because of a house fire. I was a woman married to a woman and have kids that carried my late fathers last name and then I have a step son So our last names didn't match and they singled us out not in the begining but convi Conveniently only when they found out we was a lesbien couple 3 months later.

Round two...

It's been years we moved back to town. I went down 3 days ago and filled out the payment card form gave her my card to copy and got my key cards. Fast forward to tonight and they called me to the desk said I never filled the form. I refilled the form now the second time but I did not have my credit card with me tonight because we came to swim not expecting to need it. They went to look for the form I already filled again after I told them I didn't have the card with me. I returned to the pool with my many kids. They send a girl to the pool with the creditcard form she tells me I have to fill it out. I reminded her I can not because I don't have the info with me but I have been coming daily and would be returning tomorow morning and would bring the card. The gurl then infront of everyone in the pool and my small kids tells us the she has to ask us to leave because we are not members. We have brand new key cards and everything but we are conviently not members...

They are trying to make me and my family feel unwanted and unwelcome due to the fact lesbien does not fit into their religious beliefs. It is very clear we are being ridiculed and judged and forced out of a facility my kids...

I have been a member for 5 years at first the staff was friendly and helpful nice enjoyable always in the pool room while children where present. Now things seem as though things have changed like the clients don't talk to each other. Some things they expect and give some a hard time about is the same thing they let others do I suppose out of favoritism or because maybe their friends or family. It's just deamening when you here slurs behind your back they think you can't here. Yet I'm good enough for them to take my money. It's just a shame because in order to take my grandkids anywhere else to learn to swim and interact in an environment that offers health exercises etc.... you would like to be treated as...

Visited on the 2nd of July at noon. Stayed a few hours. The staff is friendly and helpful. Lifeguards keep a watchful eye. Pool is clean, as is the splash pad. Some trash/candy on pavement in spots but not bad enough you can't avoid. Changing room/bathrooms could use a fan. It was super warm when we went in to change and were sweating by the time we finished. Had a good time....
