Splash pad is great for the kids! Large open space with different water "pressure" areas. A park that has swings and slides. Tiny bbq area and decent benches to watch your kids play. That being said its a solid 4 star pushing 5 star rating. The thing that drops this down are the bathrooms. Let's just say some truck stop bathrooms are better than this! Granted, maintaining said bathroom is easier said than done. No baby changing table in men's bathroom, women's had one but wasn't very stable. But the 2x my family has gone it was gag worthy. Toilet paper not stocked, no toilet seat covers (meh), toilet paper all over the ground (again meh) but, the worst was excrement everywhere. No just like an oops some got toilet but nastiness on the floor, like the person said screw using a toilet altogether! Sorry for the vivid picture in your mind after reading that. I'd prefer to know ahead of time, than to find out when you didn't plan for bringing...

The grounds themselves were pristine. (Especially true since the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Crew were finishing up with their mowing and trimming as my friend, her husband, son, and I arrived!) This park has a nice blend of sunny sidewalks to follow and shady pavilions with picnic tables to sit in. The flowering trees were in full bloom and beautiful. My only complaint was a Parks and Rec Maintenance member chose to ask us to have my friend's toddler son not touch a water feature. To be fair, the water fountain had one side with guardrails in front of it; however, there was plenty of open space surrounding it where anyone could walk up to it and touch it through the grate it was splashing through. There was no signage saying not to touch and certainly other people take a moment to feel the water who visit. While I give grace for such encounters, and we did comply, it was noteworthy enough to remove a star from our experience at this...

This is the type of park that other Parks wish they were. I was extremely impressed with the variety in the play structures and the water park area is fantastic. Took my daughter twice to this park in the week I was visiting the area. If I had one complaint, it's that they had some shade cover in the regular playground area. Not enough to justify a 4 star, just something that would have been nice.

Final thoughts:. I cannot recommend this park enough. Make sure your kids have a change of clothes or a swimsuit because they will definitely want to play in the water park area. The regular playgroind area is fantastic. There are many great obsticle type structures to help kids with balance and climbing. It will make you wish you were a kid again. Great spot for a a picnic and a huge grass area to...

Great in the summer when the water is working, bathrooms are not kept very clean and there is not much shade, bring your own shade and chairs. If the weather is nice then plan for the parking lot to be full. The last time we went there were about a dozen celebrations going on throughout the whole park. If you want guaranteed use of the gazebo you have to reserve it through central point parks, you can do so on their website. If you don't reserve it there is a good chance you will have to vacate for groups with reservations. I would also encourage you to take some time to appreciate the memorial area, it is very well done.
